Do Javies shed in the spring?

Maybe they just breed in the spring and its been getting a little rough lately.
  2. To the guy who tried to mug me in downtown Savanna the night before last: Date 2009-05-27, 1:43 AM E.S.T. I was the guy wearing the black burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over to you, shortly after you pulled a knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend's purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this message. First I'd like to apologize for your embarrassment. I didn't expect you to actually crap your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket. The evening was not that cold and I was wearing the jacket for a reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber model 1911 .45ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head, isn't it? I know it probably wasn't fun walking back to where you'd come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I'm sure it was even worse walking home barefooted since I made you loose your shoes, cell phone and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again.] After I called your mother or "momma" as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you'd done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other customers at the gas station on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful. I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Gos along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then threw your wallet into the big pink "pimpmobile" that was parked at the curb, after I broke the windshield & side window and keyed the entire driver's side of the car. Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for just a little over a day now, so what's going on with that? Earlier I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DAs office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number, etc.) In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you, but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatening crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of the rather immediate pressing issues and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon the career path you've chosen to pursue in life. Remember, the next time, you might not be so lucky. Have a good day! Thoughtfully yours, Alex PS-Remember this motto: An armed society makes for a more civil society!

    New Broadhead , Inverter

I look forward to seeing reviews on it and will try it if I hear good things. I have tried lots of fixed blades and expandables and finally settled on the tekans and I cant say I am entirely happy with those. So I hope I only hear good stuff about them I'll keep an eye out.

    Student Walk Out

This upsets me It goes to show the liberal garbage these Kids pick up in school. Send them out into the real world and let them figure it out, see if they are so interested in doing their walk outs after a few months on the job. Schools a whole other ball game and they don't understand the real effects til they can work to support themselves and illegals. When I was single and working I was paying as much as 20% in taxes from my check. Thats when the real education began....

    Arrow Rest

Well I have shot lots of different rests I find the WB to restricting in what can be shot out of them and the fletching contact bugs me. Shot a Ripcord(awesome customer service) Had problems with fraying on the cord really slowed down the fall and broken launchers. Shot a drop zone not very good containment but all around it was decent. I shot two models of QAD the low price one which couldn't drop anywhere near fast enough way to much fletching contact. The higher end was the really good no real complaints. Now shoot a smart rest by NAP and I love it if your a tinkerer then you can set one of those up to shoot like a dream.

    Want to buy

Wow that was quick. I was wondering where you were this morning apparently out buying guns!!!!
  11. Yeah this all blows my mind... IMO there should be term limits on congressman. How is it they can sit there for so many years. Two terms is enough. I mean how corrupt can they be after just a few years. Don't answer that cause I think I already know. I do have to say the No vote was the best thing to come out of McCains' mouth in years and that act was more than hes done to help arizona in years... The most appalling part of the whole bill was the pork that they had to add to it to get it to pass. All the garbage they added to it is enough to bankrupt america and then they added healthcare on top of that.

    stabilizer help???

Grizzleys right on the theory of postens although for hunters they just aren't practical. Any additional weight you add to a bow will help absorb/reduce vibration and especially damage caused by vibration. Even though there are other ways to take care of excess vibration like rubber which has a natural "resistance" to vibrations as they move through it. Then a lot of people use heavy weights on their stabilizers (like B-stingers) to help the bow tip forward after releasing. Others pick b-stingers cause they say it makes them more stable. Stabilizers can do a variety of things I guess. My advice is to stick with whatever you are comfortable with and shoot the best. But don't be afraid to experiment with switching up your gear to find out what works best I mean how hard is it to switch back to a heavier stab if you want.

  19. Many who know me know that I am an avid hater of the idea of Global Warming. Why I do believe in natural variations in climate I have to ask myself: In the 5 billion year existence of the earth, what makes the temperatures over the last 100 years the right ones? If a meteorologist has trouble forcasting the temperature tomorrow what makes them think they can predict what will happen in 20 years? NOW MY REAL TOPIC: Recently I have noticed in the news a change in the old paradigm of Global Warming. It appears to have recieved a "facelift" designed to help silence skeptics like me. Global warming is now CLIMATE CHANGE. I can't help but marval at the new name "A wolf in sheeps clothing" a more fitting design. Climate change is harder to refute then Global Warming because I can't help but notice the blizzards (climate change not global warming). While major news outlets still use the antiquated term scientist and politicians prefer the new broader term. I guess I will no longer be able to argue with these people cause the climate is changing. (from winter to spring) Have you noticed that?

    New Binos Which Ones?

So I've been wanting ot get a new set of Binos and have narrowed it down to something in the 300-400 dollar range. Any suggestions? Thoughts? I have been looking into Either ZEN RAYS ED2 10x43 or Some Vortex in a similar 10x42. What do you think??? Remember my price range thats all I can come up with cause I already know that leicas Swaros and zeiss are great but I'm not a Rockafellow. I appreciate all the help of the Coues community.

    New Binos Which Ones?

I really want to go with the ZENS but my issue is not being able to touch them first. I guess I can trust someone who has a wirehaired pointer for his pic That is unless someone has something bad to say about them. Mattys I wish I could spend more but I don't want my wife to feel entitled to something in return after all the convincing it took to turn her on to spend that much.

    Single pin sliders?

I have tried them and went bach pretty quick the issue with a single pin is that when you have a shooting situtation how much time do you really have to take to adjust the pin. What happens if you draw at 40 yards and cant take the shot til its at 20. I like the tried and true fixed pins. The adjustable pins make sense at longer yardages where you might have more time to set up the shot and where noise isnt as important. My recommendation is that you can buy sights that have 4-5 fixed pins and also have an adjustable pin. I have looked at one made by limbsavers that was pretty nice.
