  1. If you support feral horses on public land, then you’re not a friend of most wildlife managers and sportsmen.  As such, I will never recommend your business to anyone…..and I let them know why.  Several hunters/fishermen have already stayed other places once they learn of your skewed feral horse beliefs.

I like domestic horses and folks who use them……having said that, I wouldn’t care if feral horses (vermin) died a slow and agonizing death on public lands.

Under Forest Service Stage 1 restrictions, fires, campfires, charcoal, coal and wood stoves are prohibited, except within a developed recreation site

Key words here " developed recreation site   "  once I arrive to a spot and setup, it is considered developed recreational site, thus camp fires permitted.  But we know some asshat or 2 will burn this place down

Sorry, but I believe the legal definition of ‘developed recreation site’ doesn’t support your definition?

“Developed recreation sites and areas means sites and areas that contain structures or capital improvements primarily used by the public for recreation purposes. Such sites or areas may include such features as: Delineated spaces for parking, camping or boat launching; sanitary facilities; potable water; grills or fire rings; tables; or controlled access.”

Different subject but can anybody explain all the trees with paint on them after an area gets logged?  I always assumed it was trees marked for being cut but it seems there are too many left if this is the reason.  Some have 1 line some have 3.  I can’t figure out what all the painted trees are supposed to mean.  I was camping this weekend in an area that had been heavily logged last year and it seemed like half the remaining trees had orange paint on them

The trees with orange paint are those that are to remain.  Any pine tree without paint gets cut.
