Ray was a good friend and a good man one of a kind for sure ! . Shared a few campfires with him Hunted and fished with him . The hunting community will miss him. R.I.P. my friend !!

You might want to look at a trigger tech. I just put one on my edge and really like it . I have it set at 2 lbs and zero creep. I had a jewel and prefer the trigger tech. It's a frictionless trigger. It's adjustable from 1.5 to 4 lbs and you can adjust the pull externally .Look at them at Trigger Tech . com.

Also always have a spotter to call every shot when shooting past 500yrds. That's one of the most important things to have (a good spotter) .If the animal moves 20yrds up or down or more your poi (point of impact) changes and your spotter must relay that info so you can make the proper adjustments . Also if there is a wind change(sudden increase or decrease) he can make the call and adjust) We all have made mistakes that's how we learn !!

Saw 7 bears in 4 days. Dad shot this bear at 992 yds. 22 minutes elevation, we had 2-3mph 3:00 wind that was compensated by spin drift. 300gr Berger OTM bullet had awesome performance, and still had around 2600ft lbs at that range coming our of the 338 Edge. Wound channel was devesting. Very proud of you dad, awesome to see a 65 year old with Parkinson's still chasing public land az bears!

Hit Havasu this weekend. Got into a couple of good smallmouth, and some decent largmouth. Bite was slow Saturday, but picked up nice Sunday.
