Producer memory #1: 1990, little Penn 146 spooled w 15lb ande and a 50 minute fight for a 37lb bft. The skipper Ray Sobiek coached me through the whole dang thing. i cried when he told me shortfin get even tougher after the first half hour. it was true. lee

    San Diego Trip Tips

the 8 footer is great for fishing mission bay and the jetties. pick up some bloodworms or ghost shimp at dana landing. also can be very fun fishing at the bait barge heading out. snacks ok. dinner is usually included on 1.5 day trips. they usually collect a cleaning/food/beer tab in the morning before offloading. i would usually tip half of the jackpot if i won or $5 per crewman. bring some carpet pad, carpet or sleeping bags to wrap the coolers in even if not in the back of a pu. always eat your double cheeseburger and fries IN the galley unless you want free extra seagull mayo. lee ps never use a lethargic or bleeding bait. the hardest bait to catch is the best bait on the line.

    Stage 3 fire restrictions

its early yet....but if forest closures affect the rim lakes the stocking schedule goes like this. big lake, big lake, big lake, big lake............ yea big lake. Big Lake Arizona 10 hrs · I know with all the Arizona closure talk, everyone is getting confused about what is opened and what isn't. I will tell you this... WE ARE OPEN!!! ... With that being said, if you can't be fire wise then stay home. We are in stage 2 fire restrictions. NO CAMPFIRES NO SPARKS - WE ARE DRY! Keep your eye's open and report all fire activity immediately. As you all know, I am very excited to see you again this year and meet many new faces. I just want you and our forest to be safe. If camping without a campfire is no fun for you, then think about staying in a cabin or hotel in the near by communities. I would be happy to give you information on those if you ask. Otherwise don't forget to make your reservations and we will see you soon! 40 Comments 23 Shares lee

    Then it woke up

about 1999 a test vehicle hit and wounded a huge redtail on the 5mile circle track at the GM Desert Proving Ground on Ellsworth road. I was doing laps at 95 and 100 mph and watched the most amusing thing over the next 2 hours. that bird was pissed. it stood and faced-wings extended outward- anything that approached it. i was moving quite rapidly but will never forget one image-four as in 4 firefighters dressed in full hazmat gear closing in on that bird that looked as big as a velociraptor. i think the hazmat team were underdogs in that fight. lee
