  1. Coues n sheep,

As a sheep hunter I sure you know that pictures never show the whole story. The problem was that when I took the last pictures up close,I really should not have been there. I was scared out of my mind. The last 10 feet I was sliding rocks out from under me as I climbed. And when you got to him there was no room for him to get by you if he would have come down. The next cliff was at least 100 foot. Also there could have been a rock slide at any time that would have taken you down.My brother shot a sheep two years in a very bad place and he recovered it.(HE WOULD NOT EVEN GO UP TO THIS ELK)

  2. We thought of many options of getting him, including hiring of a repell team.We were only about a one hour drive from a very popular place were people go to repell off cliffs. The pictures do not show the severity of the cliffs and the cliff that he fell off to get were he ended up was above and behind him.If you would have repelled down and hooked a come along to him, there is no way you could have cranked him out because of the angle. And If you would have cut his horns off and got him to fall, then he would have taken you with him off the next cliff. If my wife knew how dangerous it was just to get the pictures, she would have killed me herself. We figured the only way to get him was a helicopter and lift him straight up out of the crack.

  3. Rembrant hit it right on the head.We our not accusing anybody ,but because of the way hunting has become with some people there is nothing wrong with asking questions.Cory said what about the shipsey bull that scored 500.Well I said before that there is a rumor that the San Carlos has done some feeding to there elk.And I will say again that I have no idea whether this is true or not.And I will always say that the auction tag's in every single state is a bad thing because in my opinion they do more bad then good.Heck in Arizona our dyke Govener will just take the money from the game department and pay off huge debt in other areas any way.And like some of the others said,I have no jealousy toward the shooter at all.

  4. Redman,

I followed the story on Monster muleys.I guess last year it was a 370 class bull.I do not think it was a bull brought in and dropped off.But there is always a possibility that somebody was feeding it some juice over the summer. It was coming out and feeding in the same field all summer long.Like I said before, because big horns have been such a big money thing it makes people wonder. My Dad has a friend who works for dupont and he gave us some growth hormone for tomatoes. You would put a couple drops when watering, and they were the biggest and juiceist I have ever seen. You can take any free ranging animal and start feeding it with some hormones.Just look at the big ranches in Texas, they do it all the time with deer.

  5. I agree with Rembrant.I have no Idea whether this bull or any other bull is juiced. And I really do not care.I think the point I would like to make is that a lot of us think that because Big horns have become such a obsession and worth so much money, there is going to be some speculation about growth hormones. The one thing that I have noticed is there have been some huge non-typicals showing up the last few years. The San carlos bull, this bull, and some others.I do know that there is a rumor that the san carlos does some feeding.I have no Idea whether this is true or not.But because in our society (win at all costs ) there is always going to be speculation. And this is very sad, because I am sure that most of these animals are not juiced.

  6. Audsley,

I understand your point about Game and Fish.Remember I have no problem with ranchers locking off there private land because of all the trouble.Heck I would do the same.I am talking about the state or federal,or whoever owns the public land.It is there responsibility to make a road around the private land. After all most of us are the ones paying these state taxes. So in some way we actually own some of the rights to the public land.

  7. I will say the same thing I said in another post.It is the fault of the Game and Fish,Forrest service , and the state for letting private land owners block public access.I have no problem with land owners protecting there land and I know and understand the frustration of slob people leaving gates open and driving cross country and etc.But it still is not right to block access. One of the thing's that has made Arizona a great place to live and enjoy the great outdoors has been our availibility to the land.We our losing this now and I think it is going to get worse.I stopped hunting unit 32 last year because of this.

  8. Bobbyo,

I would say that if you sat down with every person that is praticing homosexual acts (whether girl or boy) and had them tell you there whole life story. Then you would understand why they chose this lifestyle. And I am not even saying you have to make your opinion from a religous standpoint. And here is another example of why your not born that way.I am sure we all know Guy's in our lives that were born with a very feminine voice and body, but were raised in a good home.I know one that is married and has five children.

  9. This is a topic that has been around our hunting campfire more then one time. The conclusion that I have come up with is us Christians feel that this is a sign of bad things to come (For the unsaved). We feel this because it say's in the bible that when thing's get real bad again,Jesus will come and take all of the saved with him and the rest are going to get a sun tan. Some of the people that hunt with us are not christians and they think people are born that way.Guy's can be born very feminine or girl's very masculine. But if they are raised in a caring, loving home then they do not feel the pressure of (making the choice) and carry out the dirty deeds of the devil.I have a

guy cousin that is gay and it is very plain to see from the way he was raised why he made his choice. He is one of the nicest guy's in the world, but he is very sad.

  10. It was unit 6a.The picture does not really show the shot very good.It actually was quartering away and it caught the very back of the first lung and the middle of the second. If you look close you can see laying on the bull above the arrow, about four inches of arrow and broadhead were it broke when the bull fell on his side.It also pushed the arrow out some.He went about 200 yards on a very good blood trail.

  11. Lark,

What we saw last weekend indicated that the horn growth is awesome. We saw two bulls that we saw last year and both of them were at least thirty points bigger.Of course I know one year older had some to do with it. My Dad shot the smaller one on Sat. If I can figure out how to attach the pictures,I will.
