  1. Coues Whitetail, & Amanda (but not by name) were mentioned in a recent editorial in the Arizona Republic. The article was actually about the Speed Cameras, but it was cool to see one of my favorite websites in the paper! Not sure if this will work or not, but the picture should be below. Bob

Here we go, from stalkincoues on Dec 6 2007, 08:09 PM: This info came out in the October 2006 Hunting Highlights on the azgfd.com I printed it and carried it with me for a while just in case I ran into an uneducated warden. Here is a link to the info. 2nd column down on the right side, 7th paragraph down. 6" max nonhunting handgun. http://az.gov/webapp/portal/SiteSearch?sit...esheet=azportal

    packing a sidearm

Hum. I believe that it is okay - I also remember a law or change in rules in the last year or two. But I can't find where it says in the Commission Rules that it is okay. R12-4-318©(2): An individual participating in an "archery-only" season shall use and possess only a bow and arrow as prescribed in R12-4-304, and shall not use or possess any other weapons, including crossbows or any other bows with a device that holds the bow in a drawn position, except as authorized by R12-4-216. R12-4-216 just gives rules for crossbows. Does anybody else know where to look? Here are all the commission rules: http://www.azsos.gov/public_services/title_12/12-04.htm Bob

  12. Hello everyone - First time 'post'er, but have been visiting for a month now. So I am considering purchasing a semi-auto compact / light weight handgun for my fall hunts. I've done my research, looked around, and checked out manufacture's website. But, I'm just curious now what fellow hunters recommend? Something that I can keep for many years. Thanks!, Bob "gmcbob"
  13. Lots of good advice - thanks guys. The gun show's this weekend - so just might bring something home Bob

    Who knew! Pictures....

Great Pics! What are those two animals in the botton pic??
  15. That Taurus is nice! And I've had good luck with Rugers, so I'll check into the SP-101 also. Well I'm second guessing myself now....As much as I would like to be able to justify purchasing a nice semi-auto, a small revolver is probably a better bet for what I need, so the search continues. Thanks for the feedback! Bob
  16. yeah I saw that, thanks. Good gun from what I've heard, and cooper's is in the .40 cal that I want. I'll check one out next I'm at Sportsmans and see if I like the feel; might be interested in his. Thanks for the welcome ajo. Bob
