Unless he leaves this camera up and a post trailcam ban pic shows up with an animal that he later harvests even 1 year later or 5 years later or 10 years . Or he helps a buddy or a kid harvest that animal on purpose or not ! He can be ticketed for a violation. There is no time stamp! Come guys your not thinking it through!

We had a trail cam at that crossing but we did not have that deer we harvested on camera at all. I just knew alot of deer were moving thru this area. We wanted to see what was there.

Example: I was just having fun with trail cams for recreation purposes yes Im good. But as a licensed hunter If I ever draw a tag or help somebody in a unit say a kid or a fellow hunter and get ask by a warden if I ever used a trail camera in the past but after the trail cam band and have had images of animals from them . I will get a ticket , you go to court, and before the commission because there is no time stamp. Huge consequences! That people are not thinking about!

We have prove that Trail cameras are the least intrusive form of Surveillance on wildlife. There will be many many more paid Guides sitting for up to 45 days on animals . As far as selling wildlife after it is found thats another whole issue. Lots of people dont enjoy seeing more people in the woods either.

Yes it is. I never hunt this spot. But I love to see whats on it! That camera at the top right is mine! This is an easy access spot in unit 9. Those trail cams definitely do not scare wildlife like people sitting there watching them.

Im saying cameras have a much less effect on wildlife than people. And yes I believe it was worse before trail cams. Pressure on wildlife changes their habits ! And yes Im sure sure outfitters will adapt and will find ways around the rules. I can think of alot right now. I do have a guide license but only to be out there more often it helps pay my expenses which is my non profit guide account. I do not depend on it for a living. I only guide maybe 1 to 3 folks a year. Im fine with the no Cameras during hunting seasons. I just want a compromise because I really enjoy my summer excursions.

To answer your question animals can and are startled by Trail cameras. I watch it all the time on video trail cam. Then they usually settle down quickly and drink or feed with out fear. But when they hear a vehicle busting down the road toward a water source their on or a guy hiding in the bushes in a blind watching the water hole and they SMELL him its a whole different story. And now this will happen all year long. More spot lighting , more posse hunting, Animals will become more nocturnal as a result . The animals in the units I hunt are migratory so they disappear as hunting season draws close anyway. Trail cams are more about enjoying a Vision of Nature in its natural habitat without the interruption of man to dictate their actions.

I agree. But disagree on water source placement based on this, a trail cam has less effect on wildlife at a water source versuses a person sitting that water to film wildlife. But will people be willing to put their money where the mouth is to fight this tyranny. Most will tell you privately they agree with your stance but thats as far as its goes!

I lie not! You keep avoiding the point! Do Any of the Records books consider Trail cam use a Fair Chase issue? And I understand that its not about Fair chase now with Azgfd or the commission . They have figured out how to avoid this topic. But for Recreational wildlife enthusiasts that are hunters like me that are willing to compromise on the usage of Trail cams during hunting season its a devastating blow to our recreational summer activities. I will fight! who will you join me?
