Even though we drew a tag our bonus points were not calculated correctly.

I have 4 points this year including my hunters ed. No loyalty.

My father had 2 points. No hunter Ed or loyalty. Some how they came up with 4 points for our applications adverage. Does anyone else have this mistake or similar?

It’s your individual points plus your hunter Ed and loyalty averaged

Don’t knock the molten ramen and oysters I’m telling you. 1.48 ramen bucket, 1.89 oysters vs $14 mountain house.

i actually did set a unit record this last weekend. I heard I was the first person to backpack in a 12 pack of tecate light 3 miles into the cabeza

I did that with coors light in 2020

Surprisingly myself and wife scored crane tags and not the kids.  Put us in together.

No sorry, meaning put me and wife on one app.  Kids were on separate app same timeframe also together.  Just figured the kids had better odds.

Fred we are down by Wilcox.

Reading this is giving me Forest Whitaker eye 🤦🏻‍♂️

  4. @codyhuntsaz I’m normally with you that the draw is done in a matter of minutes, but talking with several outfitters they are not getting the calls for sheep, strip or kaibab hunts that is anywhere near normal.  Along with that the percentage of people claiming not to draw the “easier” tags is far beyond anything we have ever seen or heard of historically.  If there is no issue I would be shocked

Well Dave, a little from you.  This sounds like a hybrid of an idea I pitched to you several years ago.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they take the some of the insufficient fund tags and use them for the raffles?

I’m not Dave and as far as I know the insufficient fund tags typically get put back into the draw and are issued to the next lowest number applicant.  Those are normally the charges people see approximately 3-4 days after the initial draw

Since we are doing conspiracy theories, remember g&f uses rejected card applicant tags for there new raffle tags.  If you see more than a few, they are double dipping.

Where is that information?  I like to think I stay up on what’s happening and that is the first I’ve ever heard of that

I think it’s over.  New era of point creep both resident and NR.  It creates a snowball.  Leftover tags drying up lead to guys changing their app plans which lead to 100% odds tags become not so in a hurry.

I could believe that over time but when the majority of those hunts were 95% odds last year it seems highly unlikely all these folks wouldn’t be drawn. I know close to 20 people who haven’t been hit for October or early November coues tags with 2 points. Also know a non resident with 9 points who hasn’t been hit for an easier to draw December tag

Was looking at it and the 6.5 prc.  Seems like a lot of manufacturers are making them now and my guess is it will become popular.  Only downside is lack of factory ammo, but that will change probably pretty quickly.  I'm thinking I want one in Savage ultralight.

Pretty much all big box stores and a good amount of smaller shops have good inventory already from what I’ve seen.

  9. Picked up a Christensen Ridgeline FFT a few months ago. Shooting factory ammo (Hornaday Match 180 ELD-M) and have been very pleased with it.  Through the chrono I’m getting 2860 fps and have been getting 1/2 MOA 5 shot groups at 100 and 200. Have only shot at rocks at longer distances so far but hitting what I’m aiming at out to 700.

  10. Drew my second Gould’s tag this year with 24 points. Donated my first one back in 2011 to OE4A. Went into the hunt with high expectations and they were definitely met.  Thanks to cramerhunts and my buddy Brandon for all the insight.  Also. Big thanks to Ryan and Jesse for coming down on the hunt.  Bird had a 10.25” beard and no spurs.

I've never won the lottery and buy a ticket every week so the odds are 0%. (Same line of thinking) and still doesn't change the facts that the odds aren't 0%. Good try though.

So if there are 2 tags for a hunt and both tags go in the bonus pass what are the odds of drawing in the random draw?

I understand the 80/20 split but when you have 25% or more of the “max pool” applicants in for 1 hunt they will never let that hunt go to someone outside of the max pool.
