  1. Any headgasket issues, coolant loss, or moisture in the oil? Was the truck taken in for the service campaigns when they were still going on?

    Thanks

No coolant loss, no moisture in the oil, papers from toyota on the service campaigns (head gaskets).

No oil or water leaks except power steering.

I'll add that I wouldn't sell a vehicle without disclosing any known issue. We are all like family here right?

  2. SOLD

This is one of those "hate to see it go" sales. I'm posting here before I run any ad on craigslist. It would thrill me to know it's being used as intended and built. The reason for the sale is wife doesn't really want to go out wheeling and for me a quad is fine. To many toys, only so much space and I'm not buying a new house.

1991 Toyota 4Runner for sale. 3.0 5 speed top of the line. Power windows (all work) power door locks (all work) power antenna and sun roof work great.

... the good, the bad, the ugly...

    The good...

Reliable as the day is long. It starts, runs fantastic, very cold AC with new compressor. New alternator and battery (just because I want to know it will start in the back country). 3.0 rebuilt by toyota runs like butter. Transmission/clutch in great shape. Body protection all the way around. Custom rack built for the top with LED flood lights front and rear. Rack also has hi-lift which is included. Smittybuilt Winch and CB. Redone front suspension with new arms and ball joints. tie rod ends are perfect. No shimmy, wobble or other drive issues. New 32 inch rubber. Rear coils replaced and in great shape. Always runs cool even idling in traffic with the AC on. Manual front hubs. Aussie locker in the rear and I also have the original gears if you ever want to remove them but I don't see why you would... it climbs like crazy. JVC Stereo and even the power antenna works. No leaks except for the power steering, see below. EDIT: It was bugging me so I just bought new rear shocks as they were due. Not yet installed but soon will be.

    The Bad...

Power steering has leaked since I bought it. The one issue I haven't bothered with as I just top it off now and then. It does have 225,000 on the odometer but you certainly couldn't guess by driving it. I trust it completely.

    The ugly...

Not much other than pin stripes as I would hope you expect. I never abused or thrashed this awesome truck. It has not been a daily driver, rather just a weekend toy / hunting truck kept in the garage.

  3.

I Looked at the habimap again and it actually has a picture of the tank that I didn't see before. The picture is a square concrete tank that looks extremely old and probably not working anymore. I'll have to hike in to check on it next time I get a chance.

I was looking at Habimap but I did not see if there was a way to enable a layer for Water Catchments. It also does not seem to be able to zoom in as much as GOOGLE Earth. If someone could help me with it I would appreciate it.

It's one of the layers you turn on. It's called AGFD Wildlife Waters

I cant even remember the last time I shot at 20 yards. I usually go right to 60 and bounce around between 40 and 60. I will also often only shoot one arrow from each yardage and mix in some odd balls like 53 or 47, etc. I never met a deer that stood there long enough for me to shoot a group at him, although I guess there may be one out there somewhere.

Go do some 3d shoots too. Tons of fun and great practice as you only get 1 arrow per target, unless the course is empty.

What pin do you use when the critter presents a shot at 5yards???

Most shooters have no clue when taking a super close shot, and since thats kinda the 'idea' of bow-hunting(getting up-close), it should be practiced...

Something I will do to confirm muscle memory, Stand 3FEET in front of the target with bow held low, pick a spot on the target, CLOSE my eyes, draw and release... Very "Zen" like when you center punch that choisen spot...

I always move after every shot, a step this way, a step that way, off one knee, then the other, "wrong" foot foward, etc... reason being: If you have shot from many possitions, it will not be a new thing when given a shot while out-of-perfect-"take-a-photo"-range-form...

For the really close shots the 40 or 50 yard pin is accurate for me.

  5. my brother(lookinfor110) and I tend to nickname bucks we find. Same area held 7 (nice 4X3), Lefty( missing left eye guard), to name a few. funny that we have scoured the area for miles around where we have seen them during/before and after the season and never found any dropped horns from these guys.

The sneaky ones pick up after themselves and place them far away from where they live.

That Family kills some BIG deer! His older brother Jeremy has recently taken a 244 a few years back, and his big sis has a monster that touches over 200.

What do you thick he scores. He's inside his ears

The closest I've come to a deer that large is at Woody's.
