  1. I shot a winn freeFlight for many years. Now I have a new bow and string loop. The Winn won't work and I'm trying different releases. I miss the Winn. Something will become my next sofa couch comfortable but i haven't found it yet. Then again I'm also working on getting the new mathews as comfortable as my old trusty split limb alpine... which took the place of my trusty High Country, Which took the place of my not so trusty Point Blank, which took the place of my trusty Hoyt. (still miss the hoyt, slow but accurate as all get out) I have till the end of summer... I'll get there. Tweaking a little here and there. Shoot, shoot, shoot more

    Anyone have a 28" or 28 1/2" cam for a Mathews Drenalyn RH? I have a 29.

  2. Years ago... about a dozen or so... we stopped at the Cafe on the right just as you turn on 260. The kids ordered a burger and coke. The lady said I don't think so you will have milk. Very much like the lunch lady at school would have done back in my day. I just chuckled at the kids who looked shell shocked as they said ok to milk. But the best part was they loved the milk. They never get whole milk at home. I told them it was good because it was mountain milk... always better in the mountains. To this day they laugh at "mountain milk" even though they are 18 and 20 year olds.

They also didn't finish the burgers and waited till the lady was out of sight before they said come on dad lets leave now before she comes back and makes us finish our food. She scared the heck out of them in a fun way... and they loved the milk.

Funny how some little thing can be a fun memory.

  3. Not only is he doing a great job, he has the b***s to stand up to some big politicians. GO JOE. I also feel that our gov doesn't go far enough in how we deal with our hand outs. If you are in need of emergency care... not a cold... you should be able to get that care IF, and here is the catch, the country they come from also provide the same for our citizens in their country. In other words our policy should match the country the illegal/visitor is coming from. The financial drain and crime in this country has gone on long enough.

I just went to Germany. Full body search... and I do mean full as in very friendly with the hands. Even the ladies. And no-one complained. At the airport, past customs, I was stopped by a police officer. He was very polite (spoke for a minute just to get a feel for me most likely) then he asked to see my papers. No reason to stop me. And I didn't mind. Its their country, its their security. In my opinion with todays world as it is... step it up and clean out the house. Joe's actions are still mild compared to other countries.

  4. Growing up with a brother generally creates various challenges to who goes first, who gets what, etc... My dads solution was to flip a coin. A coin flip should be 50/50 or close to it. I always won... always. I can't think of a time I didn't. It got to the point where my brother would complain about doing a coin flip, then demanding two out of three. I still would win.

This year I drew a bull tag with no bonus points.

My point... its all luck no matter what. Now if I could just win the lottery:)

  5. I would also question the 32" draw. You must have some seriously long arms. I'm 6' and shoot a 29" draw, and with the string loop I wouldn't mind a tad shorter. Perhaps you know what your asking for but perhaps you might get measured.

Having a shop nearby that can service and support what you have is important. Most bow manufacturers today have sweet shooting bows. Start shooting what the shops have and something will feel right. I shoot the Mathews Drenalin and like it. Quiet, fast enough, and very smooth shooting. Not cheep but I tend to keep my bows for many years.

  6. Many of the ranchers down there seam to think they own the land. We always had an issue with the rancher down by the Dragoons... what a PITA. He actually stopped in camp one time and wanted to see the tags on the deer we had hanging. I heard he eventually had a serious run-in with the law regarding refusing to move his cattle. I believe he got jail time for that one... but may be wrong.
