    sb 1070

I cant believe that we are being forced to make another law to make something that is illegal more illegal. The word ILLEGAL should be the clue that things are not right. BTW I support 1070.

I'd say it a little more sporting than going to Basha's or Fry's.
  3. BBC/AP-LONDON, UK (Mar 22) Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda have so far failed to produce an agreement. The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by 25% this February from 72 to only 60. The rationale for the cut was the increase in recent years of the number of suicide bombings and a subsequent shortage of virgins in the afterlife. The suicide bombers' union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs (B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement that this was unacceptable to its members and immediately balloted for strike action. General Secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, "Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of Jihad. We don't ask for much in return but to be treated like this is like a kick in the teeth". Speaking from his shed in Tipton in the West Midlands in which he currently resides, Al Qaeda chief executive Osama bin Laden explained, "We sympathize with our workers concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day Jihad in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It's a straight choice between reducing expenditure and laying people off. I don't like cutting wages, but I'd hate to have to tell 3000 of my staff that they won't be able to blow themselves up. Spokespersons for the union in the North East of England, Ireland, Wales, and the entire Australian continent stated that the strike would not affect their operations as there are no virgins in their areas anyway. Apparently the drop in the number of suicide bombings has been put down to the emergence of that Scottish singing star, Susan Boyle - now that Muslims know what a virgin looks like they are not so keen on going to Paradise.

    Theoretical Situation

The Tikka rings are fine if you want to stay with a 1 inch tube on your scope. On my Tikka I went with a one piece Picatinny Rail because I put a Mark 4 on it. you also can use weaver style rings with it. Here is the link where I bought mine. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=412774 I have one brand new if you are interested.

    tag transfer

I got this from the web site: Don’t let your big game tag go to waste if you can’t use it Are you unable to use your big game tag this fall because of an unexpected change in plans? You can still put that valuable big game tag to good use. The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s rules allow a couple of options for transferring the tag to give a youngster a thrilling hunting opportunity. A parent, grandparent, or legal guardian can transfer his/her tag to his/her minor child or grandchild. Or, a tag holder can donate their tag to a qualified nonprofit organization that provides hunting opportunities to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Here’s how either option works: Transfer to child: A parent, grandparent or legal guardian holding a big game tag may allow the use of that tag by their minor child or minor grandchild pursuant to the following requirements: * The minor child is 10 to 17 years old on the date of transfer; * The minor child has a vaild hunting or combination license on the date of transfer; * A minor child less than 14 years old has satisfactorily completed a Department-approved hunter education course by the beginning date of the hunt; * The parent or guardian must accompany the child in the field or, if a grandparent allows a minor grandchild to use the grandparent’s permit or tag, the grandparent, parent or the child’s guardian must accompany the child in the field. In either case, the adult must be within 50 yards of the child when the animal is taken. Transfer to nonprofit organization for ill child: A number of qualified nonprofit organizations are dedicated to providing hunting opportunities to children with illnesses with a wish to go hunting. The Tag Transfer program has given many children a chance to go on a hunt-of-a-lifetime in Arizona during a time of need. "To a child that has a terminal or chronic illness, an Arizona big game hunt truly can be the "hunt of a lifetime" said Hunt of a Lifetime Ambassador for Arizona and New Mexico, Nate Medcalf. “What better way to make a difference in a child's life?" To donate your unused big game tag, the following organizations can be contacted to arrange for a donation: * Catch-A-Dream at http://catchadream.org. * Hunt of a Lifetime at www.hoalarizona.org. * Outdoor Experience 4 All at www.outdoorexperienceforall.org. * United Special Sportsmen Alliance at www.childswish.com.

I put up an expensive system after my truck was broken into. If I were to do it again, I would buy several high quality game cameras with infra-red flash.

    Savage 24

The Savage 24 is a break-action. I know that when I was looking to get some WSM's cal. done for my Thompson Encore addiction, I was told that many of the custom barrel makers that had made them, wouldn't make anymore of them and even recalled some of the barrels. The pressures were too high and there was too much rear thrust for the break-action. Maybe that is the case here. Anyway, take it to a smith and have him check it to be safe. I have had a rifle blow up in my hands before and it isnt fun. Just sayin.

    tripod for my binos

I try to follow the "buy nice or buy twice" rule. I know "nice" means more $ upfront. I've spent more on all the cheap gear in the long run and had it fail at bad times. Just sayin. What type of glassing are you gonna be doing. Standing or sitting? I only sit and glass so I use a shorter tripod. The Slik mini pro combo isnt a bad choice for an entry level tripod if you dont want to stand.

    25-06 For Elk

I love my 25-06. Now here comes the however, however I do not use it on elk due to its lack of energy down range. I want to maxamize my odds of dropping an elk with one shot. It is so hard to finally draw a tag nowdays, I dont want to risk losing my elk due to an under powered bullet. Just sayin
