I would think that if you called and told them the situation you would be able to carry a weapon. If you have an animal that is wounded and not going to make it you would need to finish it off. Otherwise all these anti-hunters have a reason to hate us for being cruel. It is unethical to let an animal suffer.

+1 I'm sure you will find deer there but maybe not a quality buck.

I have been asking the same thing and it seems that most areas are starting to get full swing about now. Most people have said the evenings have been good for calling. If you have a tag I would post the unit and hope there are some hunters getting back that were in the area. I agree though on the last 5 years.

This is true, even in the mountains. They have trails that go through the mountains just below bobawhatever the peak is called.

I have had 6 oct. tags there in the past 7 years, it is a great unit! The past couple of years it has been really crowded and frustrating where I go but in December it should be awesome! I will shoot you a PM where I think would be a good spot.
