    First hunt(s)

I grew up in Chandler and still am unfortunately. My first hunt was at 10years old on a jr. javelina hunt in 24B, I got one on the last day because my dad was wise enough to put hunting above a day of school. Well maybe not wise but I sure am glad he did! That got me hooked! I got a little muley on my first deer hunt later that year and my love for hunting grew even more. Then when I was 12 I drew my first elk tag, a late bull tag in 10! I was stoked for this as my dad shot a 370 bull on the archery hunt the same year! I couldn't find anything near as big but this 6point stepped out and there was no hesitation.

    coueshunt32

I have hunted there a few times but not for 7 or 8 years. If you can find the bald ridge it was a good starting place, it may look like there arent any deer there but those coues pop outta nowhere! The further you get in there the better, but like I said it's been 7 or 8 years? Good luck!

    Trail cam methods!

I am pretty new to trail cams and like everyone that has tried them became addicted. I was just wondering if anyone would like to give some advice on what makes for a good spot or what makes a spot good? The first place I put a cam up I found a trail and at the time there was a pocket of water near. I also put some feed out and it seemed to help attract more game. Anyways just wanted to know if anyone out there wanted to help out the newbies on successful pics?

Awesome! Thats a great accomplishment! I hit one with my bow a few years back but was a tad high and the buck lived. I can honestly say thats the toughest hunt I've ever had!
