Congrats on your mathews! I have the Spott Hogg 7DP and they are the best sights i have ever seen or shot. Just get the smaller pins and they are not cluttered at all. You cant go wrong with either sight but I would recommend the 7DP.

Anyone have a pair of vortex binos? I was told that they are comparable to swarovskis. Just curious what everyone thought?

Thanks all, wish I could get some 15's but I apparently have to narrow of eyes for the Kaibabs and swarovskis.

At least you got to put a stalk on him. That would be a good buck with a bow! All I saw with my dad was a couple of does opening morning. We did hear a rockslide way up the mountain and find a couple nice rams that had just fought. The bigger one won and headed up the mountain to take his prize. It was pretty cool watching big horns in the rut.

You never know whats going to happen, my dad has called pigs in that were at least a few hundred yards away and we didnt even know they were there. They came within 20 yards and walked a circle around us. Other times you call and they take off the other way. I think the closer you get to them the better though. If you dont think you can finish a stalk then give it a try.

This is exactly how I feel. I ended my hunt in the first 45 minutes on Jan. 1 last year on this 3x3 mule deer because of the way the hunt panned out. I called him in using a grunt call and the primos can. First time I ever did that on a buck. If he would of been a spike I probably would of killed him. Brian Now thats cool!

I always thought the 36ABC hunt was the best tag out of the left overs. I would stick to that and try a different letter. I have hunted 36C for coues but rarely see pigs at the tops of the mountains, and I have hunted 36A for pig. I always wanted to try out B.
