I will try those and look those up that you mentioned. I like to read here and there but when I do I usually like non-fiction, informative books that you can learn from. I like all the boring stuff like History channel, etc. So thats the way my mind is geared towards. My wife just loves the History channel shows too ! If you think of anymore please post. Thanks!

Nice bull. Gotta love some people and ther hunting ethics or lack there of. Some people will do whatever it takes to get a animal. Including disregard for safety. Nice job recovering though!

Yeah it got me!! I was all close to the screen waiting to see a huge elk, deer, etc. Scrolling down and I see that...... !!!! Makes me wonder what it is or how they set it up. Looks like somebody in thermals bottoms who passed out at camp and was left outside by the rest of the crew and woke up in the middle of the night and realized what happened !

Lark, I agree with you. I'd like to take shots back at you Scum Devils but UA has let me down and pissed me off so much this year, I just kinda lost my gas to do it . The loss to ASU wasnt even the worst of it, cause I honestly thought it might happen. They actually looked worse this year in ways. This team just didnt have enough heart. No explosiveness. I think Mark Stoops and Sonny Dykes took that with them when they left.

Just like the commentator said last night, Every coach says his team is a young team, hurt team, etc. You play with what you have. ASU deserved this game but dont go crowning them anything yet. They still havent proven anything with one key win. Remember, Oregons QB is a FRESHMAN, and there RB(Lamichael James) is a sophomore with a much better coach, program than ASU or UA! Only time will tell who does what from here on out.

Kickers are gonna miss kicks sometimes, even when they need it most. However Zendajas has been questionable since he has started kicking for UA. ASU did what they had to to stick around and as usual, UofA did what they had to to lose the game. Both teams should of had at least 2 more wins on the year not including this game. Maybe somebody will breakout next year from the mediocrity.

Heres my elk shot on the opening morning at 106 yards around 10 am-not a huge monster but a tag filled. I would definetly like to do this all the time, more so than deer even, just need to get drawn more often or at all ! Lot of fun hunting in the pines!!

WOW.....devils deserve this one! If you cant make extra points at critical times............heck, if you cant make them at anytime, you deserve to lose. Stoops needs to do some serious retooling in the off season. We lose on our kicker, ASU wins on theres. How sickening ! Guess Boise State knows that all to well. At least Boise's is good the rest of the year. Sheesh!

thanks for the comments. I really didnt know what to expect for the Late hunt. Still really dont, it was over so quick . I hear alot people say they see them right by the road and alot of people glassing and walking all over and not seeing much and vice versa. So I guess you never know. Just like any animal you hunt. Walked a good bit that morning and saw tons of sign but no elk. Seen 15 or so elk with like 5 bulls driving in to the area we walked but it was to dark to get them in the scope, trust me I tried. They ran off, we tried to come around and get on them but could never find them. Its funny, you can walk, glass, etc and see nothing or no horns, Drive down the road and see all kinds just standing there !

U of A Overrated??? No more than Dennis Erickson's career at ASU!! Underachieving for the cats? Definetly. As far as the Scumdevils go this is the best it will get for ASU under that old goat! Beardown Arizona!!

Very good and informative reading! So is there any belief that only the northern part of the state had the buffs originally or are they believed to of been more dispersed amongst the state?? Always wonder how an animal like grizzly bears and the wolf gets so much love from the bleeding hearts but you never hear of restoration, reintroduction efforts for animals like the buffaloes, antelope. mule deer, etc, with the exception of hunter supported conservation groups.

Got 2 Harris bipods, dont remember the models but one is the short one for prone or bench shooting, the other extends out long enough to sit down on the ground and shoot. They really seem great even though I have never used them to shoot an animal.

People dont hate the Forest Service, they hate the bureaucracy, political games and red tape that they let dictate there actions like most all government agencies. If a government does its job and does it well, there will be little or no problems. However that is less and less the case these days. That is why people bash on the government. We need a government and some, not all, of its services. They need just need to there job correctly like anyone else, private or government.

The government is supposed to answer to the people ultimately, especially in a free, democratic society. However that no longer happens. Thus they dont care and do whatever it is they want.

Ask anyone in the Safford area how great the Forest Service is!!! The amount of damage done to Mt Graham and money spent cause of government bureaucracy and not heeding weather warnings. I know there are alot of good, hard working people in our government, unfortunetly they aren't the ones at the top(making decisions) cause they won't sell out to climb the ladder.

My dads Rino and my Motorola's were hit and miss as well as some friends Cobras that I picked up easy on my walkie talkies. Kinda helps explain it now!
