I'd be all over that if it had nicer wood. Great guns. GLWS.

Technology is here to stay. But there will probably always be an alternative but people will pick and choose based on the difficulty. Age really has very little to do with it. It's more about whether you are exposed to technology. I know plenty of techies who were building computers in the 80's when most of the people on here parents were in grade school. Seeing all this hulabaloo about AI is comical. It has been going on for close to 30 years. If you know you know.

I was referring to the paper tag.

So what is the penalty for shooting an animal and not tagging it because a gust of wind blew it out of your hands, into a river in the bottom of a canyon at last light when you took it out of your pack?

Tools for off-roading / repairs - what do you carry

Fire Extringuisher. Two large cans of tire flat fix, replace them every other year. Two Spares. A Craftsman Tool KIt that fits behind the rear seat. It has all teh common SAE and Metric stuff. A Bottle Jack. A 20' tow strap. A spare Camshaft Sensor. Some wrenches and screwdrivers. Some snacks, few bottles of water and a blanket. Tire air pump. Buy new tires every 30K. Buy the best batteries every 5 years and only buy AGM's. Spare serpentine belt. Change oil every year, usually 3-5K. Recondition the air filter every 2K or 6 months. Drive the same truck since new back in February of 2000, 322K. Pop the hood and look around at stuff every week or so, with the engine running and off. Change the fluids as needed. -

Dawn is fine. My cast iron has enough of a base built up it doesn't affect it at all. I won't oil it after since it will get used again in a day or week. Purists whine about it all the time but they are predominantly newbs edumicated on the Web, but cook with it regularly for a year or two and it will educate you if you pay attention.

I'll take these. "Huge outside dividers open up to 37 inches $50" -
I've taken four Coues from 30 to 216 yards all with rifle, 7Mag. My longest kill on a Mule Deer was about 300 yards but that was way before people used range finders.

16" is fine. 7.62/3.08 use very fast burning powder. 20" barrel might get you another 150fps, maybe. Ans that will be even less at 200 yards which is relatively "close". Any bullet that is going to actually expand won't be any different out of either barrel. https://diamondbackfirearms.com/portfolio/db10ccmlodg/

You can stay in Globe, very short drive to the Rez.

One beneficial thing about getting out this time of year to learn stalking is deciduous trees are bare so more opportunity to see game. Frost on the ground in the morning will show tracks better too. No snakes, it's cooler so you won't sweat/smell as much and you can drink less water. In the desert there is always something to see to peak their interest, lots of teaching moments. I would put the emphasis on tracking and stalking, minding the wind direction.
