Did you do the restoration? Wondering how a 409 got into a 1960 Impala since it wasn't offered until 61.

Rifle stocks (Weatherby, Remington, Ruger, Winchester)

Yeah I was looking at the inlet for the trigger thinking it was for the BDL floorplate. -
We use Durable Metals in Tempe for general scrap like wire and copper/bronze valves. They have paid the most in the past but you need to factor in gas cost getting there.

It looks like you have the Remington and Winchester stocks in reverse order. -
Russ check with M&M on University. I think they sell used.

Based on the age I'm thinking it may be a Pac-Nor?

I've only ever seen them active after dark.

Looks like it has a Fajen stock. Pretty much the Creme de la creme back in the day. Is there a manufacturer on the barrel?

160 gr Nosler Accubond on Elk: Field examples
PRDATR replied to ruppart's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Makes zero sense try and squeeze an extra 50 or 75 fps MV out the 08 at whatever distance you are trying to compensate for. That 50, 75, 100 really isn't giving you more than powder burned and recoil and will mean didly squat. Focus on the bullet jacket and what velocity it will expand at. 7-08 is a medium velocity cartridge unless you are loading 100grners in a 24" barrel. Good Javelina load. -
In my experience they "Bach Up" in Mid August to Mid September.

A day not scouting is a day wasted. Take a pack and stay out all day, just as if you were actually hunting. Find deer, return to that area over and over on other trips. Monsoor season is a perfect time to scout, walk washes and look for tracks the morning after a rain. Pack one of those foldable military shovels to dig out water holes. Start a journal! Staples sells hardbound 4'x8" ones. Get ONX and a good GPS. You can varmint call the areas too, once you make a few trips and familiarize yourself with the area. Summertime trips, take an extra spare and a can or two of Flat Fix. Toss a case of H20 in your vehicle, let someone know where you are going and when you plan on returning. Cell Phone Boosters are nice to have.

Pretty snake. Reminds me of a Corn Snake. I had lots of snakes as a kid. One year my dad suprised me with a 4' Florida Indigo that he probably ordered out of the back of Outdoor Life. I fed it Garter Snakes.
