Feral horses ain’t wildlife. But they do carry a disease that kills our native bighorn sheep.

I saw a pile of birds like that on a tank a few years ago. very frustrating.

Awesome! Glad it worked out.

Come on, guys. It’s not that difficult to make generalizations about a deers age. Look at the profile of his slender snout, and the line of his back and belly. People have been doing this for years. It’s not exacting, but some generalizations are pretty common. I know this article is about whitetails, but the principles apply. https://www.buckmanager.com/2007/01/17/aging-deer-of-the-hoof/

Looks 3 1-2 to me. It could be any age, but it just doesn’t look like it’s developed into maturity yet.

It’s a young buck with great potential. If you let him walk, someone else may whack him, or…he may grow into a giant.

Does anyone know where to start with this Winchester model 70 ranger’s age and value? it’s had a little work done on it. (Braked, bedded, floated) Seems to be in pretty good shape. It’s an ‘06. It has a Nikon 3x9 bdc prostaff scope. I may swap it out for a leupold 3x9.

I haven’t looked into it too much, except I’ve heard the refined stuff they use in a lot of food products can lower T.

So, if you got good genetics, you’ll probably be fine. You can do everything wrong and live to be 103 if you got the genes.

If you don’t want cancer or dementia, you gotta avoid seed oils avoid glyphosate avoid sugar/ high fructose corn syrup avoid white flour Do a liver cleanse once a year or so. exercise
-
Glyphosate is the bad one, which is listed in that article.

Heard from a doc one time that weed killer causes prostate cancer/problems. You won’t catch me on a golf course or on a green lawn.

I just wear glasses. Contacts alway gave me problems, especially when glassing. I got eye infections from them, too. My glasses fog up sometimes, but seem to be more trouble free than contacts.

I think they should split the quota, if a unit has 40 mule deer, then 20 early and 20 rut. If the 20 early don’t get filled, it rolls over to the rut. I think the quota is working. There is probably a bumper crop of spikes and forks due to the good monsoon and winter rainslast year. It should pay off eventually with larger numbers of deer . and, if the mule deer quota gets filled, just hunt whitetail. Problem solved.
-
I’m surprised everyone is complaining. Maybe a no spike rule unless you are a youth hunter, would help. But there’s plenty of deer if you’re willing to get more than 5 feet off a road. id rather see them cut back on rifle tags, than reduce archery opportunities. It funny how archery otc is the one on the chopping block, not rifle tags usually.

Baiting should be legal. Mule deer don’t come to bait very well anyway, it doesn’t make much difference. why would you want to drive success rates down? That seems like no fun. Go kill a deer and have some fun with the kids.

bojangles replied to bowhunter-tw's topic in Classified Ads
bummer. I went with the schnees divides, but it's still showing the beartooths are on sale as of today. -
I had this water hole all lined up to sit on opening day. That idea may be obsolete, depending on the direction of this storm.

I saw a dude on his quad last night, with his bow and binos in 23. looked suspicious. I didn’t say anything.

Well, schnees we’re on sale for up to 50% off a couple weeks ago on the website, you could check and see if they still have that sale, and the Laponias were on sale recently at scheels. I’m not sure if they are still on sale either. -
Mulies or Coues Arizona youth rifle unit 23?
bojangles replied to Dadof3's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
In 23, muleys will be easier to locate than whitetail. While it is a great whitetail unit, they will just be harder to locate and kill. my son has drawn that tag twice, he shot both a muley and a whitetail in that unit. -
Any recent black river reports? Has rain affected anything?
