JVS, if you drew an early rifle tag as a group go by a lottery ticket and congrats…took me 17 years of apply alone to get an early archery tag. Hope it was a good unit

It will be one early rifle bull tag. I got three separate charges of $135. One of which only had one choice as early rifle bull.  Either way, we got an early rifle bull!!!!

    Congrats 🎊🎈🎉

Thanks. Definitely congrats on tags...but if we can decipher whether multiple applicants on the same app are charged separate or together will tell me contrats....or holy mother of all that's holy we got lucky and drew an early rifle bull. I recall they are charged all at once based on others' experiences. Can anyone confirm? I've been researching and can't find the answer.

  3. I never put in more than 1 applicant on the same app. I did this year. Do those applicants in the same app that are drawn together get charged together or separate?  Because if they are charged together, there is no other possibility than we got an early rifle bull tag!!!!

There is a ginormous blob of NR applicants with 15-20+ points.  Thousands.  There are about 30-50 tags a year that they actually want and are “worth” their points (in most applicants minds) so it’s essentially created a sheep tag like situation where the max point group is established and won’t go away until they die.  Expect early kaibab to take 40+ points for NR before it plateaus and kaibab archery will be bringing 20-25 points in the next few years.  Smoke em if you got em cuz there ain’t no saving em.

I hear ya on that...but the easy hunts such as the units 32, 29, 35, etc. could be easier to draw if a long-timer had an additional BP. BPs are not just for the BP pass. Each applicant is awarded a draw number for each BP for the 1-2 and 3-5 rounds. Lowest randomly drawn numbers get the tags.

Too many people applying is the problem. The growth is unbelievable. It's only going to get worse.

I say G&F implements another loyalty point for anyone that has applied 10 years. I think the consecutive years is a bit frustrating....miss one year and you lose your loyalty BP. Anyhow, give the folks that have been doing this for a lifetime an additional advantage. I haven't seen the statistics, but I'd imagine about half of the applicants have less than 10 years applying.

  6. OK - could the rumor about charging cards in phases (BP round, then 1-2 choices then 3-5) be true? A lot of people are saying that their groups have multiple apps in for 100% draw hunts and no one has drawn. Something is definitely funky. I have 4 separate apps in areas with 100% draw odds in queue and I don't have a hit. Go ahead and shoot down that theory...but what else is there?

  7. And, as previously said by someone…g&F will see their money tenfold??? I’m not seeing how game and fish gets any money back for paying youtubers? It’s tag and license sales, right? All tags are sold…Every year. OTC sales are the extra dollars. If we have to draw now for some archery units, we’re selling too many tags already. Now all the OTC tag holders will end up in no-draw units, overcrowding those areas. I think most of us understand the Tragedy of the commons!! We don’t need more recruitment for OTC tag sales! Go to Arkansas! I think the limit is 9 deer. Arizona isn’t a bottomless pit of deer.

  8. The tags are sold! Every. Single. Year. Why are game and fish (we) paying for advertisement to sell tags? There is already a shortage.  Good ol boy system at its finest. And yes, we all ought to take note as to how many of these youtubers get tags year after year. My clan sure can’t anymore!

So with all the confusion with sheep tags being overcharged, possible youth tags charged for adult general tag fees does anyone know when results will be posted?  Are they gonna wait several weeks to get everything hashed out before they do?

if I remember correctly when G&F overcharged youth during the elk draw they still posted results before they refunded.

Yep, I was refunded like a week after the results posted.

Why spend money when you can f up everything and customers have no choice but to use you for your service?

And that is the biggest issue with big govt. status quo is absolutely fine, even if it’s a shizzle show. Why was the postal service so under water??? Because there are private alternatives. Private-run Mvd offices cropping up all over because the govt-run offices can’t get it right. You nailed it…but it seems at some level any govt organization would have the drive to want to be the best in the business and find ways to do it. None of us see the potential politics behind this either???

  11. One thing is for sure...the draw continues to be consistently inconsistent, and absolutely no one knows the answers. G&F probably doesn't even know when they'll ask for updates. Speculation regarding card update or card charging timeframes is basically dog water. OK, now drag me through the mud😂.

I would like to see how much money is spent on the Landowner relations program. I bet its way more than we think.

A lot of landowner agreements are for access. Take the money and blade a road around them. Simple. Then, don’t maintain the old stretch of road because it’s not public anymore. Maintain the new road around them. A lot will change if that mentality was pushed.

  13. It’s never the fine that scares me...it shouldn’t be for anyone. The big loss should be losing respect of peers. You can’t put a price tag on losing respect of others. Then there’s the integrity within yourself. That can be a big battle. Sad thing is, most guys that do these acts don’t really care and seem to get away with it.

Where have you been? This IS going on.

No, he said to pass tags to adults. Yes, It does happen for kids. Could you imagine if adults could receive a tag? No way. That would start an all out race and war to find the most friends to apply and pass their tag. No thanks.

When I was a kid 30 plus years ago, you didn’t have 8 plus grandparents, parents, step parents, youth donation programs, or youth hunts giving me an opportunity to get tags!
That is the problem. Everyone that doesn’t even hunt puts in to help a 12 year hunt!
why can we pass on a tag to an adult?  Like a 70 year old that hasn’t drawn an elk tag?

I guarantee if this were to be allowed, there would be 500,000 applicants. Bam. All at once everyone’s non-Hunter aunt, uncle and dead grandmother would be an applicant so they could pass a tag. Good luck with 500,000 portholes😂
