I have 2 tags so different goals for each. Wyoming September archery = 330+ until last 2 days when any mature 6pt over 300 will work. Az late archery in 5BS = no goals set yet for this hunt (I dont need meat) so well see closer to hunt dates.

I dont like hunting with anyone. I dont mind recapping the days events in the evening, but side x side is not for me. No decoys. They are vocal. If you speak elk call a little. If you dont know what theyre saying its best to ambush silently and stay away from calling. Water can be good, but I dont enjoy sitting water for elk. Ive killed a bunch of archery bulls and never wished I had a partner....until the pack out begins! Good luck - should be a bomber of a hunt👍🏻

No, it wouldnt. Take him to an archery shop to get it properly fitted. Will save him a lot of aggravation.

A few things I do differently while scouting during a hunt season are: I start a bit later in the mornings usually hitting the woods a couple hrs after light. I drive the roads more to figure out where guys are hunting rather than parking and hiking. I never hit bedding spots during a hunt. Therefore, I dont check cameras until the night before my hunt starts. I dont get upset about others in the woods during my hunts. Goes with the territory. Im happy seeing folks enjoying the outdoors even if they change my hunt plans for the day. Only time I was completely shocked was when I walked up to a ground blind with 3 rifle hunters in it a cpl days before my archery buffalo hunt. Their hunt was listed in a separate regs book and I never would have thought the rifle hunt would have been going on.

Thats a good choice. I was going to buy the same until I figured out I had to replace the outboard on my bass boat. I decided to cover the factory bumper in bedliber and add custom lights until I can replace it. Make sure to post a pic once its done👍🏻
