New to trail cams. Also relatively new to bow hunting. So without pulling an elk tag for myself or my jr boys. My goal this summer is to spend it finding a deer and watching it all summer by glass and cam with the hopes a first deer bow harvest Any suggestion on newbie trail cam? I read reviews and it's like smelling perfume at Christmas shopping for my wife. After a few whiff's they all seem the same. Like to spend $200 heck like to spend $2 but $200 seems average. If for some reason another $50 or $75 makes a huge difference I'm willing to make the jump Thanks

North of Paris tx and we were guest of someone who leases on a ranch to hunt. So didnt really cost a thing. I'm looking for a west tx Axis deer hunt. Had some meat on this trip. Its awesome as good or better than elk

Just got back from some cold hog hunting in east texas near the red river Lots of fun. Took a rifle i bought for my 14 year old. Tikka t3 lite 7mm-08 Cant say enough good about that rifle and round. Great to carry all day excellent adj trigger and tight groups with factory hornady and federal premium. Compared to some other caliber my buddy's were using this really performed well. Punched clean through thick hide and out the other side every time. Dropped them almost in their tracks. Recoil is next to nothing Only negative on tikka in my opinion is the 3 round mag and they dont machine the top of receiver for easy top load. Bugs me. But not enough to not buy another some day Here's a pic of one hog. 14 degree with 15 mph wind
