I have been waiting to hear back from him . . . here is my number 480 266 4811. I have walking pneumonia right now but may be back in the saddle by thurs . . . -
I got moderated . . . I think that's a first.

I dropped a Javelina in its tracks with a shot from a .22LR with standard Federal brick hollow points. I would say shots under 50 yds would be just fine. I have seen a few tassel eared gray squirrels that would rival the size of a gray fox.

Ok so let me get this straight: On Dec. 11 Yuma Archer says (paraphrasing) "Hey I heard a lady killed a new #2 in the world bull, does anybody know anything else about it?" Someone replies "It was some guy I knows' kid . . ." Hunt Junkie chimes in and says "Yes, its true my daughter killed a huge bull and I will give a few details but I respectfully ask that no one post pics . . ." And now a bunch of spoiled internet desk jockeys are pitching a fit because he would like to present the pictures when and how he chooses? No wonder so many people have chosen not to share pics of their animals. If the guy, his kid, or both want to be in a hunting magazine that is their own dang business and absolutely none of our business, its his right and he doesn't owe any of you cry babies squat. He didn't come on here to brag and then refuse to post, someone else suggested they knew about it and he provided some clarification. If you want to see pics of a giant dead bull so bad, why don't you get out from behind your monitor and go kill one. And for those of you (Yes lance and naturegirl I am speaking to you) that are calling him greedy, you should know that most of those magazines don't pay anything for their stories, a few give out some prizes ie; binos or a rifle or a pack, etc. But the people in these magazines are not getting rich from their articles. Its a pretty rare opportunity to get published and its their right to enjoy that opportunity. Your comments equate to criticizing someone for choosing to voice their opinion in an op-ed piece for a newspaper instead of just throwing it up on facebook or their family blog. For crying out loud people . . .

.300 Win Mag on Javelina...

If core lokt is what you typically use then shoot em. But if you are picking something for this hunt I would go with a solid in lieu of the soft point. Those core lots are deadly but tend to be highly frangible. I am known for defaulting to high shoulder shots under pressure and have just plain taken limbs off some animals with those rounds. -

I bought the infinite edge. Awesome bow and if my needs change I could throw it in a press and set it up for my wife, or myself. Sweet bow.

Dude I was totally joking (this understates the need in the world for a sarcasm font). Please for the love of everything sacred and holy don't just start flinging arrows. It will not end well, trust me. You made a wise choice.

If you are more than 3 pts off max, the reality is you are not going to catch that group. The first key is applying to units that don't go to max point holders the second key is actually being in the draw. There is no point in buying bonus points for sheep, you need your name in the hat. Think of it this way, 20 yrs of applying with 3% odds gives you a 60% chance at drawing a tag some time. BTW I just got done calculating all the draw odds for antelope from 2013, it's not much better in that game.

At 93 yards, Heck why not put an arrow in the air? I mean if you aren't shooting you aren't trying. . .

Auditor says AZ Game and Fish wasted $1 million
Flatlander replied to AZLance's topic in The Campfire
Did anyone else actually download and read the report? Not the news article, the auditor general's report. The one Game and Fish emailed out to their mailing list and agreed to comply with? (Maybe I can find an illustrated version for you U of A guys . . .) I got a very different impression from reading that report from what this news organization is peddling. The most interesting part of the report I read was that they really don't test the draw system to make sure it works. The only QC they have is the feedback they get from people who complain that they received the wrong tag, no BP or no tag when they should have received one. I mean seriously we are going to get all hot an bothered that the Dept sent more people to conferences than other states, and have agreed to reduce it? Freak, I wish my company would agree to send me to fewer stupid industry conferences. -
Awesome buck. With all that mass and those deep forks he is all of 190". Congrats, and enjoy the time with your dad, it can come to an end sooner than you think it will.

With 23 pts xforce you can pretty much pick what you want. At 13 pts you can draw archery. Count on waiting another 7 yrs to get in the bonus pass. But in AZ you can draw any year in the 1-2 pass. In the words of Lloyd Christmas: So you're sayin there's a chance!!!
