There was also a dark grey Ford F-250 with a PSE license plate on the front parked a little north of you, you know who that was?

as far as the 4x4 stuck in the mud, I ran across a few vehicles in the Santa Ritas a few years back. I called FS to see if I could apply for a abandonded title. They said I could if I was a licensed tow company. There policy was after 72 hours, if you had a tow license, you could get a abandoned title for the vehicle left in the forest service. These were brand new trucks by the way, proably used for smuggling.

Forest service takes a bunch of them every year. I ran into forest service a few years back in unit 27 and the back of his truck was full of treestands and trail cams. He claimed that after 48hrs it was ababdonded.

Drew Unit 27 Upper San Fran River Area for 2011
AZLance replied to cpugsie's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
The San Francisco river canyon is full of sheep. I have been wondering for the past several years why they didn't have a sheep tag in there. When bear hunting in there, we used to see sheep every day. Steep country though... Also saw two full curl rams butting heads a couple of years ago, awesome sight to see and hear, as they were only 90yds away. -

"The Draw" and a new topic....
AZLance replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
In the last 15 years of guiding a bunch of clients and hunting for myself in AZ I was checked once in 1998, after we had killed our deer and were packing up camp. I rarley see a G&F officer durring a hunt, maybe that is because I am no where near a road. Even when I actually witnessed someone poach a deer, and called it in to opperation game thief, they never showed up! -
Awesome catch! Maybe those kids can teach "Pro kid" a thing or two...

Not a good idea to burn paloverde as it releases smoke that is toxic to humans... This is from the Sonoran Desert Museum web site: "The soft wood makes poor lumber. It is also poor for firewood, burning rapidly while emitting a strong, unpleasant odor, and making no coals."
