This is a good option, I originally started out using a plastic folding table. I moved up to the sawhorses because there is a lot of wiggle in the plastic. I have had quite a few people out to get them started and show them that they can hit targets well past 500 yards. A heavier table makes it a lot easier to set them up without all of the movement.

Good find on the brackets! This bench looks great and I have read through the build on this a number of times. I was figuring it would still run around $200, pipe, wood, feet, hardware. Shoot the 195's! I have a custom rifle with a Proof barrel set up for the 195's and it is the most accurate rifle I own. I have 5 custom/semi-custom rifles but the 7mmRM, proof, 195 combo seems to be something special.

Teachers don't make any money, my wife taught 2nd grade for years out of college (not anymore). Now if we could cut the funding to administration and the districts, you know the taxes/bonds we keep raising, that never make it to the teachers that would be something. These people are now doing less than nothing...

I bought a Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 Creedmoor (I know...) crazy light rifle with a Leupold VX5 HD- CDS. Shot it out to 500yds last week with factory ammo and it shot great for a 5lb rifle. You can get them already threaded for your can as well. Just throwing out another option to take a look at if you really want a true backpacking rifle.

I keep seeing people who seem to enjoy wearing masks. In the car, walking, couples with matching masks, people pulling them down in the parking lot to have a smoke. 🙄 Where do they come from and why do they think this is some? If you feel bonded to other humans form this silly crap you might want to head to the psych ward. Oh and the lakes and campsites are out of control. We should see some awesome deals on camping gear, exercise equipment, and guns come fall! just in time for hunting.

Is there a big difference in powder loads for these vs the same weight of standard VLD bullets? I finally got my Badlands but just determined the powder charge I am going to use on the Berger 140gr VLD's. Trying to figure out if I move to a charge based on the lighter bullet weight or start with the 4831sc charge I was using on the heavier bullet.

Vibe or RTIC both great deals. The VIbe has more features. I really like the look of the Canyon coolers but have not owned one just to big of a price difference from the others.

Carnero does not have crowds because fishing from shore is almost impossible and it is a single hook lure only lake.

Ramshot has been the best powder I have found in one of my 7mmRM. I like what Lance suggests because I remember switching from Fed Match primers to standard CCI primers and getting much more consistency.

Great pics! They are much less skittish that Deserts! I have had them stand across a dirt road for pics. It took them over an hour to walk a couple of hundred yards to check out the trailer when the got that close but they stayed for a photoshoot in 23.

The Badlands bullet is ver cool looking. Have you shot this one as well? I know the Hammers have a lot of good press, curious about the other. I may grab one of these and see how they shoot in one of the 6.5x284's. Nowhere near the the case capacity so that may be a challenge for bullet seating depth.

where are you located?

It will come with the VLD insert for the bullet when you order. This assures the tip is not bottoming out when you seat causing the bullet to be offset. Call Redding or RCBS and tell them what you are loading, they will give you the exact part#’s or sell them to you.
