Ya, that was me. It was nice to meet you and your wife, we ended up running into your son near the haystack ranch. We glassed and called hard for 5 days and never saw a bear! Oh well there is always next year. Yes it was nice meeting you as well! We will be back at it this weekend.

Was in 24A since Thursday not one bear. Put a lot of hours behind the glasses from timber camp to haystack. Saw a ton of rattle snakes. Were you in the 5th wheel up by Hay stack if so we met Thursday night. I was the guy with the Queensland Healer camped in the 5th wheel past Griffin ranch.

I have hunted the archery hunt in 5A several times. we have hunted around potato lake, Baker Butte and have had great success on both cow & Bull a lot of elk in these areas. another area is on 139 road off of the 300 or 95D above clear creek.

Try the drainage into the head of Ripsey wash or Hackberry wash this has always been productive in the past. Ripsey is located about 5 miles outside of the town of Riverside going west towards Florence, Hackberry is directly behind Kearny. I grew up in those towns. you will have no problem finding camping areas along the Kelvin / Florence roads. PM me for more details and directions if your interested. Good luck.
