Does it come with a motorlift to get it into a truck?

I suspected it was not entirely clear in the law for someone to downgrade someone else over it.
To be clear, I do not support chasing quail with a dog during nesting season. Also, the snakes are rampant. I just don't like people making up additions to the law. Portraying the situation as an ethics issue or stewardship or sportsmanship, is more appropriate.

I was reading some replies to some newbie hunter questions that using birddogs in the field is illegal in off-season. Well, "Show Me" book, chapter and verse in the regulations. Now I agree, especially for Mearns which are not doing that well right now, it is a bad idea; but I want to see it in black and white and not someone's opinion.
Following a rather extensive search, I did find something specific that you are not allowed to harass birds on the nest, but could find nothing really pertinent. And for all you "Karens" out there, unless you can provide a reference, don't bother. Feel free to start your own discussion on the merits of not using dogs in the field during off-season.- 2

If this was in 460 S&W Mag, I would be there in 2 hours. Alas ...

You old guys have trouble with focus ... this thread is about bashing the scum devils -- although it started off bragging about them. I guess they are not even worth discussing?

Seems like we've had this discussion many times. I agree with thegunsmith2506. 20 ga is so much more prevalent and cheaper. Also, a .410 is an expert's gun and not forgiving. I ended up (30 yrs ago) getting my son this tiny, light, single shot. It kicked pretty good but I reloaded a couple boxes of the lightest load recipes I could find and it didn't take him long at all to get up to the full loads. The single shot taught him to manage the gun properly with the increased safety afforded by a single shot. NOTE: the gun is only good for 1 or 2 seasons due to kid growth and he will want to get to the multiple shot guns as soon as possible. Finally, if you cut down a stock for the first year, be sure to get another full size -- those kids grow really quickly at around 10 yr old.

You can estimate the density of of it and check magnetism to come up some data to make a better guess. Or you could put it in a Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Dispersive Sprectroscopy.

Almost no stockings up north over winter. Here is Spring/Summer:

We need a video of you shooting that with 2 410 magnums at the same time. Be sure to have the volume up.

I have seen few calls I don't like. I have never been able to master glass or aluminum friction calls -- seems like it always takes a few errant calls before I get it to work. Even though I prefer the box call the best (loudest), you must learn to use a mouth diaphragm call so that you can use entice the gobbler those last few yards with minimum movement. The mouth diaphragm takes some practice but it's worth it.

Do you still have the Zeiss tripod mount that came with the binoculars? If so, do you want to sell it?

You do know they claim that the credit card update does NOT guarantee the draw results will be done immediately. The only date they sign up for is "Permits mailed out by" -- sure wish they could be a little more honest and less CYA.

Is this the kind that you just keep on turning counterclockwise or do you have to cock it in the clockwise direction?

Doing great compared to mule deer.

We had dove go in and out of the cone undeterred unless highly stressed (running up there) but the quail had a really tough time figuring out how to get out. The cones were much longer than your picture and ended up in center of cage and only one entrance.

My first "off-road" vehicle was a Baja (71 Beetle) with a Weber and no gearing change. So fun at first but terrible off-road due to the high gearing. My big truck got better gas mileage and it has a heater and a/c. Reminds me of the old saying:
"The happiest day in ones life is when he sells his Baja (boat or whatever). The second happiest was when he bought it."
