  1. I keep trying to send a pic but the webosite is saying the file size is too large. Picture size is 2.01 mb. One of the rules is the pic must be at least 2mb in size. Anyone else having issues??
  2. I don't know if this pic is gonna upload. Trying to upload from droid phone. How big do u guys think he is in this pic??? This pic was taken a month ago on 7-24-12. I don't have any up to date pics since the camera was stolen last week out of my spot.

how much bigger is this guy gonna get???

To top it off ....... there was a camera that someone placed within 100 yards of our spot. My partner purposely would step in view of their camera everytime we were there just to let them know we were hunting the same area. Not once did we touch their camera. The day ours disappeared was the day theirs left too. They placed a camera on a old salt site we were using 5 years ago...... which was no big deal to us. We showed them respect for not touching their cam and they repay us by stealing ours.. Funny stuff. We have seen 2 different vehicles in the area where we park ours. We are gonna eventually find out who stole the camera.

Thanks guys. I was out there as the sky was starting to lighten and the cool air was nice. The only bad thing about getting out there was the mosquitoes. i had to spray myself down real good.

    any luck

Has anyone had any luck hunting coyotes at night??? I have gone out 3 times and have had no luck calling anything in. i have been staying 25 to 30 minutes at a time and had the coyotes calling back when i started using group howling. they actually sounded like they were coming in while using this sound. Jusy curious if anyone out there is having any luck.

    any luck

missedagain........... it sure is harder than i thought. I talked to a friend of mine who has night hunted at night before back east. He made it sound so easy. He stated how they stayed in the back of the truck and called them in all the time. Im walking about 200 to 300 yards away from the vehicle . What sounds are you using??

    any luck

every stand ive started different. some stands ive started out with howls, greating howls, challange howls and distress calls. Gila outdoors(in safford) had a coyote calling seminar and game and fish was there to inform us of the rules. If i remember it correctly they didnt include units with wolves cause they didnt want the wolves to be shot on accident.

    any luck

actually the coyotes have been upwind from me when they start their calling. I have been using a homemade ecaller and a spot light using a red lens. the areas ive been trying are pretty much flat with some rolling hills. just hitting areas im familiar with so no need to gps. once the yoyes start calling back i turn the caller down and add more pauses. i just need more time out in the field to get more experience calling at night.

    finally a little activity

cool looking pick with the snow falling. i had placed some doe urine 5 yards from a salt lick earlier in the day in this area. picked up some stuff at wallyworld called tinks. trying it out for the first time. i placed it on the ground and on pine tree branches. Dont know if the time on the pics are right. i'll have to check the camera next time up the mountain.

    struck again

sorry about your loss willyhunts. it hurts cause of all the time and money it takes. i just put my last cam out at the same spot i had the 2 stolen. but this time i put the camera 25 ft high. i have the same thoughts that mine was also a hunter. ROTTON APPLES IN EVERY GROUP.

    struck again

no ... mine were not near any kind of water. the cameras were a decent hike away from the road. but i guess not far enough. i wouldnt dare put my cameras near any water. too many people around here would recognize the area.

    bears are out

originally... i had salt and mineral blocks down. i then tried some stump licker . here are some results....

    bears are out

I was amazed at how many bears I got comimg in. It was never my intention for this to happen. I layed stump licker down on a log and all over the ground to help the salt area for the deer. But....since this is happeningI'm not getting as much deer activity. I kind of figured which canyon the bear are coming from.... to bad they are attracted to my licker. i have never called for bears ..none the less hunt for them.... so i plan on doing my calling in the canyon. To answer your questions as to what stump licker is, it is molasses based with other ingredients to attract deer. This is my first time using it and probably my last. too many bears...

    shoot through mess windows

when i took my kids in the blind a couple years ago, i had them each hike in with a sleeping bag. when we finally got to the blind i had them take off there shoes and get in the sleeping bag. we were in at least 2 inches of snow for 5 hours. they never complained once about being cold. they took handwarmers, but they didnt seem to work (brand new ones too). and any 12 folding chair worked great. i just threw a throw blanket over the chair and it was very quite. ended up killing a 3x3 that day.
