thegunsmith2506 replied to Green Bullet's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Donate it instead of turning it back in. -
I think I used 3 total. I have also used it on pants, boots, and other gear and it worked well.

Before I went to Alaska a couple of years ago I used Camp Dry on my pack. I did 2 coats a day for 5 days letting each coat cure before the next. It seemed to work really well.

I would go ask the Lake Mary Store. They are pretty helpful. I haven't been in a while but I have seen some great fish still being caught.

I heard that 30a and 31 were pretty bad now too. Is that true?

My brother in law drew a sheep tag and I would like to load up some more ammo for him so he can practice before the hunt. I can't find brass anywhere. We can pay cash or trade for other loading supplies if we have what you need.

Let me sort things out this week and if you need some brass wr can work it out

That was out about 3hrs in the middle of the day. The traps she got off Amazon. They are about the best we have used. Sadly some idiot stole on that we let soak overnight.

We use cans of cat food just crack the lid so they can't get to it.

Camping etiquette ( what's wrong with people ? )
thegunsmith2506 replied to Crazymonkey's topic in The Campfire
I was that guy one time. I pulled up to elk camp late Wednesday night and just backed the trailer in and went to bed. I woke up to go scout the next morning and realized I was camped 50yds from another hunter. He was up making coffee so I walked over and told him I was sorry and would move camp when I was done scouting. He just laughed it off and said as long as we weren't too loud it wouldn't bother him at all. Every night he would come over and share the days events. We have been friends ever since.- 100 replies

I wore frogtogg waterproof bibs and sitka rain rain jacket. It rained everyday for 6 days and I never got wet. For gloves I used insulated rubber gloves like they use in frozen food warehouses. Have fun! Its beautiful

I didn't really look into it I just saw guys posting about it. My son is 9 but I want him to take the field day.
-
I saw a posting on FB where guys were getting their kids a Texas hunters ed an d it didn't require a field day. Not sure how that works with the bonus point but it might be an easy way to get it done.

I bet I have heard at least 30 people say they put that muzzy hunt as a 5th choice just to be sure they get a tag. I have done the same thing for the last 10 years. I hope it still has leftovers but I wouldn't be shocked if there aren't any.

My bother in law checked this morning and he got a sheep tag. Lucky guy
