  2. Taking out 200 feet of pipe is a giant pain in the rear. I've done it once. We had to use a backhoe with a chain and special stop bracket to keep the pipe from sliding down the hole.

Pay the money if you can afford it.

Agree with him^^^^. Lost pressure at cabin this year. Called Brandon at Central AZ Pump and treated me right. Was going to replace all 180 ft of pipe and found out that we only needed two sticks. Looked like a huge pain in the rear unless you have the drill rig with boom on it. If you have the cash to pay someone then i would do it. You might be cussing about the third stick in.

  3. Im looking into a new pack and I wanted your opinions. I recently hunted with a guy with a kuiu icon pro 3200 and was impressed with it. I really liked the width of it, it looked great for bow hunting. Also, looked big enough for some shorter backpack hunts as well as I really like the organization of it with its pocket layout. Ive used outdoorsmans and like the strength of the pack but I hate how wide it is and also hate how its pretty much just a stuff sack with compression straps and how you have to undo the compression straps to get to anything. Ive been looking into the kuiu icon pro, mystery ranch Metcalf, and I really want look into Kifaru since everyone raves about them. I looking for a all around pack that I can backpack hunt with, day hunt, isnt too wide, and can access the pack without undoing the whole thing. Anyways wanted to hear some of your experiences and opinions.

Ran kuiu for last 8 years. From 1850 to 5200. Switched to Kifaru and haven't looked back. Expensive yes. But worth every penny. Go on Rokslide and you can piece together anything you want. Buy extra bags if you want and just swap out. They have tons of options on pockets also. Watch some videos. You will be glad you did. I run the Woodsman. Good blend of decent day pack while bow hunting or shed hunting. Can be made to backpack of for 3-5 days also. So many options.

Unit 29 is closed in January for archery.....bingo...

    LMAO

so the next topic should be,

who is more of a dumbass Sticking a deer and not finding it or hunting in a closed unit.

the amount of poaching on the OTC hunts is high
And early and late archery and rifle hunts. I think most people would crap if they knew just how many people kill animals and walk up to it, realize it was smaller and walk away. Its sad

  5. I am with you Coach, I will not use the abbreviation. For me Christmas is about the gift that Our Father in Heaven sent to us in the form of his Only Begotten Son. We spend the mo th reading, listening and watching things that will help remind us of that sacrifice on our behalf. So, to remove the name Christ from Christmas would change the meaning. Even though others might shorten the spelling, or maybe forget the meaning, I like to think that Christmas or Xmas make the world better for a month.

Thanks for sharing your faith and keeping the Savior at the center of your life.

Amen. Our 9 year old accepted Christ this summer as his lord and savior. CHRISTMAS took on a whole new meaning this year for him. God Bless

  6. Had something similar happen to me. Found 2 good bulls on the same ridge 2nd day of the hunt. Was not willing to take the 1000 yard shot and spent the rest of the day looking for a safe passage off the cliffs to get closer. Found a semi-safe route but bulls were bedded in the thick brush. 2nd daya Parade of polaris rangers (3-4 with 2-3 guys in each one) showed up, started lobbing hail marys and missing by 5 at the biggest bull. The other bull was lower on the ridge. I was hoping they would not see him, but when you have 6-7 guys and one tag holder all glassing there was no such luck. They shot at him too and missed. 30 minutes into the morning hunt all bulls spooked off the mountain.

Sounds like you were in 23. Not going to get into it but a "guide camp" and its cronies literally ran my wife off the road. They were extremely lucky i was packing a bull out a few miles away.

  7. Depends on alot of things. Mostly weather conditions and terrain . Heat and moisture tend to rise the sent faster. A good hound that wont get caught up on trash can run a good three day old track and actually tree it. Only know of one gentlemen that has dogs that good.

  8. Smoke is terrible in 23 too. Big prescribed burn in my first choice spot. Has not bothered the bulls though. Just makes glassing and breathing difficult.

you guys tag out yet? Pm me if you need some help. Tagged father in law out Friday am

Kinda tough question for me. The long rifle shot is a testament of marksmanship, but not so much hunting skill. The chip shot on the coues is a testament of bow hunting sneakiness etc, but not a tough shot even for trad gear.

Im going with the bow shot, because I think theres many fewer that are able to accomplish that than the long range shot with a high dollar rifle, ballistic computer, etc.

haha you do know he said Forky right? it doesnt take hunting skill or sneakiness to get with in 12 yards of a forky, even longshooter can get that close to one. Of coarse he would miss even with a shotgun.
Then post up your pics of the one you got if anyone can get that close.
