Thanks for the suggestions. Does the ruger wild come in the shorter length of pull? Iv been looking at the ruger compact rifle and they seem decent. I was hoping to find a rifle that somebody’s kid has out grown but new is definitely an option too.

Looking to see what’s out there for a youth rifle. Nothing fancy, I have a couple daughters that are getting old enough to hunt and they need a shorter length of pull. Not real picky on caliber but would prefer .243, 7-08 or 6.5.

Thanks again for doing this. My daughter was super excited that she won something.

Iv heard the same. I’m hoping the lasik people will be honest with me on how effective it will actually be.

I havnt got a price yet but hopefully will soon. Iv got the same thing I believe. When I shoot at dots on a target they look all deformed.

I have and still can’t get right. That’s with my 15s, when using 10s and 12s there really isn’t much problem.

My question is, Can't you just focus you bino's to your eyes, so you don't have to glass with your glasses on? I really have no idea just wondering
My right eye is quit a bit worse than my left. So I can never get the binos where I really want them. Hopefully lasik will help with all of that.

I work at computer most of the day and the lasik DR told me to just get my dominate eye fixed so that I could focus correctly both close and far.
I think I really just need my right eye done.

I got to the point where I needed glasses when walking/hiking to reasonably see anything past 50 yards before it was running.
About 2 minutes under a laser and I'm now good to go. It's not cheap, but it's not too bad either and 100% worth it!
I’m basically in the same boat. The eye dr wasn’t too high on lasik, he tried getting me to pay $600 for two pairs of glasses so that’s probably why lol. He acted like it was a waste. Il try an actual lasik dr and see what he says. I’d much rather go that route.

I also wanted to be able to wear sunglasses on a regular basis, which prescription glasses of course prevented. (Tried transition lenses, but never really liked them...) Though contact lenses introduced a different level of inconvenience, they were still my preferred option when outdoors.
That being said, I give a BIG +1 to JSR's comment. I had Lasik surgery over 10 years ago, and haven't looked back! (Yes, that's a pun... lol) My eyes are still 20/20.
Good luck!

I’m having a hard a time wrapping my mind around wearing glasses all the time. I’m outside most of the day so I know I’m going to end up ditching them. Il have to check out lasik.

So unfortunately I can’t put off getting glasses any longer. I’m having a hard time seeing clearly through my 15s and riffle scope. I can’t see my pins through my peep sight either with my bow. What do you guys use that wear glasses? I want to be able to use my 15s. So I’m assuming the regular glasses will work best. Have you guys used transition lenses? It’s seems like they would be to dark to look through while glassing or shooting. And then for shooting my bow do glasses usually fix the blurry peep or are people using a magnified peep?

We met him also, solid dude. He helped us with a gate situation. Pretty good year down there.

Thanks, It was for sure.

My grandfather passed 2 days before opening day of my archery bull tag. An incredibly emotional hunt feeling as though he was there with me.
I can only imagine how it felt with having your dad "with" you.
It definitely felt different than a regular hunt that’s for sure. Kinda weird how it’s even more motivating.

My little brother (zackcarp) and his wife found this buck. Unfortunately opening day we got the news that our dad had passed away so we left thinking we were done. Fortunately i was able to return with some friends a couple days later and make it happen. I know that I had my dads help getting it done. This buck will be known as my Dads buck from here on. I got my passion for hunting from my dad and am doing my best to pass it on to my daughters.
