    Bun in the oven

Congrats on the new baby girl, you will have fun! My oldest daughter 5 years old. I'll tell you what, they are just as fun as any boy! My Daughter loves to play sports (Baseball & Soccer), go camping, fishing and has now started using my predator calls. She loves to help me with anything I am doing. Whether it be washing my truck or doing yard work around the house. My daughter is more attached to me then she is with her mom. Every time I start packing for a hunting trip she begs to go. I always feel bad knowing she can't. So I started taking her out to some trails on the weekends to do a little hiking and get her ready for when she is ready to head out with me. I can't wait 'til the day she heads out with me on her first hunt. All I can say is enjoy them as much as possible! My daughter is only 5 years old and seems like the time just flew by. Have fun!!!

    Sportsmans Warehouse, Tucson... AMMO

Were they stocking the shelves or was it behind counter? I would like to pick me up a brick after I get out work.
  8. I have a Manfrotto (Nikon?) #390 tripod. It's missing the mounting plate. I'm wanting to use my spotting scope and bino's on it. Would I be able to find a universal mounting plate or would I need to specifically buy a mounting plate for this exact tripod model?
  9. Happy Friday everyone! I'm going to be heading out to the Peppersauce area tomorrow 7/6 and wanted some info on the area. I was born and raised here in Tucson but have never been to the Peppersauce area. Is it a good area to do any hunting or plinking out there? Was thinking about taking the .22 rifles and maybe a couple of handguns to do some plinking for the day with the family. Any info is greatly appreciated.

    vortex bino's

I have the Diamondback 10x42. They were recommended by good amount of people here on the forum. Best $ I've spent, I love my pair of Diamondbacks. You really can't beat the warranty.

    Red Eye Monkeys

I remember when I was young (7-8 years old) my grandfather would take me out hunting with him and his buddies. Back then we would only hunt in the 36's, mainly 36B. Every time I'm on 1-19 near the Arivaca area It always takes me back to those days & memories of hunting with my Grandfather & his friends. I remember goin out for a ride in the topless baja bug they would take out there every year. I was in the back seat when we spotted a crazy looking creature on a dead tree. At the time I had no idea at what I was looking at! I was scared as heck, that's when they yelled out "RED EYE MONKEYS!" I was terrified! When we got back to camp that night, dinner was being made over the camp fire. I asked what was on the menu and they all answered at the same time "Red Eye Monkey". Needless to say I didn't that night. Later on I found out the Red Eye Monkey meat was just some Carne Asada, I was 7/8 and would not of known the difference Haha. Years after that I hadn't seen another red eye monkey in the wild, I was about 14 when I finally seen another one, come to find out it was a Coati Mundi. Haha seemed like for years it was an on going joke with me. I'll always remember those times with my Grandfather and his friends. My Grandfather still goes hunting with me, he is the camp chef & camp grounds security now, He has bad gout and can't head out with us anymore. As for his friends, One passed away ( RIP Jimbo!) and his son I haven't seen him in years due to moving & work. Thanks for the memories! Sorry for the long read, This memory just came up, and I just hope that hunting and being out in the outdoors with my kids have the same effect on them as they did on me.

    Arizona Cell Phone Coverage

I had T-mobile for years, I would drop calls inside my house, at walmart etc. I dropped them and now have Verizon. I have not had one dropped call or any problems at all with them.

    WTB: FoxPro E-Caller

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm in the market for a used FoxPro E-caller. I'm looking for the entry level callers, either the Spitfire or Wildfire. If you have a used one for a reasonable price please PM me! I'm wanting to take out my 5 year old daughter and younger brother out for a little predator hunting asap.
  21. Congrats to everyone on filling their tags! I unfortunately had me some tag soup! I was in 37B from Thursday-Sunday only seen one pig all weekend. I couldn't close in on the pig I spotted with about 30 min left of daylight on Friday. 37B was a new unit for me, still had a great time with family and friends out there!

    Teachers and Guns

I am all for teachers to carry. My opinion is that training needs to be alot more than just 3 days! There should be an extensive training course, then every so often a "refresher" course. Just my .2 cents.

Is the hype over AR's finally calming down?

Those prices are still on the high side. Just like everyone above me said the ammo hoarding is a little out of control. I got a little lucky with ammo last night at a local walmart. I picked me up some Winchester .223, 9mm and some CCI mini mag .22. I was very surprised to see it on the shelf. The person working sporting goods told me the warehouse is sending them a certain amount of ammo each week and its always different. She also said they are down-sizing on the ammo shipments because they are splitting the ammo between each store to accommodate each store with something. Last night she said she only got 10 - boxes of 50rds CCI mini mags, 2 - Value Pack 100rd Winchester 9mm, 1 - Box Winchester Value Pack 40rd .223, 2 - Boxes Winchester .45 and a whole lot of 12ga shells.

    Lions in 37B???

I'm heading out next week for my Javelina hunt in 37B. I'm thinking about picking up a lion tag. Has anyone seen any lions out there before? I was scouting north of freeman road near a real rocky hill, looked like perfect terrain for a nice cat. Anybody ever seen cats out there?
