I might pick him up a youth license. Wouldn't hurt to get some rabbit for lunch or maybe have him get a coyote while were out there.

Like you said it above, he wants to carry because he wants to, I remember my cousins carrying at a young age, all were very responsible. I didnt start carrying until I was 18 because I never had a handgun of my own. I see no problem in letting him carry while he tags along with me. There wont be any target shooting until the last day before we leave back home. I for sure would rather him carry a side arm on him, than not while were out hunting. This is a new unit for me, and you never know who/what you might run into out there. He's very responsible for his age and knows all about proper gun safety.

My Brother already does help out with the spotting. He knows the do's and don't s of gun safety. I just wanted to see if he could carry legally.

My brother is NOT hunting anything at all on this hunt, not small game/not big game. He is not hunting anything at all. I just wanted to find out if it was legal for him to carry a sidearm.

He has no hunting license. He's just tagging along with me on my hunt for the hiking/camping/eating.

This is what i was thinking about. My Dad bought this handgun not too long ago for him to plink with and wanted to carry it when he heads out with me. I just want to make sure its legal to do so. What I know is.... 18 yrs old/older to buy Rifle or Shotgun 21 yrs old/older to buy handgun 18 yrs old/older to carry handgun (Open Carry) 21 yrs old/older to carry (open carry & now concealed carry without permit) But not too sure if its different for younger people who are out hunting??? ( well not really hunting but tagging along)

So even if he's just tagging along with me and he's carrying a sidearm he would be considered "hunting"? Is it like that for everyone even if over 21? I've always carried a sidearm on me when I go out with my buddies when they go hunting. Usually everyone in the group always carries a sidearm?

What's the best/easiest way to field dress a deer? I've never done one on my own I only "helped out" from time to time but it's been so long I don't really remember. I've looked up some different ways online, But I'm looking for the most simple/easiest way for a beginner.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Everybody was very helpful and I will have to see what my situtation is when it comes down to it for the processing. I'm heading out to 34a. Anybody know of any spots to check out, not looking for anybodies honey spots, just trying to figure out a good area. This is my first time out to 34a. I've always gone out to 36a.
