    Cold weather tent camping

Hi all, I am going on my first ever Elk hunt with my wife at the end of the month in 6a. We do not have a trailer so we will be tent camping. I would like to gather some tips and tricks for cold wether camping. Unfortunately I have lost some of my memories of cold weather camping in the boy scouts as a kid in the midwest. Any tips would be helpful to help make our first Elk hunt an enjoyable one! Thanks, -Mike

    (sold) Kodiak Canvas

10x10 canvas tent. Used only on 6 or 7 trips. It has been very well taken care of. Never put away wet and after every trip I set it back up cleaned/treated and let dry before storage. Also used a heavy tarp underneath to protect the floor. Zippers are nice heavy duty and all work properly. Nothing wrong with it, it never leaked. Really a great tent that should last a very long time if taken care of. $350 firm. Ps. Photo is online generic. The tent is stored inside my house

    XPG dash duo tent

I have a never used cabelas xpg dash duo backpacking tent for sale. I have used this model tent for 3 years, but I broke a tent pole in my tail gate, sent it to cabelas and they sent me a whole new tent. So with this I have the tent, rain tarp, ground tarp and stakes. It's been a good tent no complaints, made for two people but I used it as a solo. Liked that I have room to bring my gear in. Moved on to a tarp/tipi style shelter so no longer need this sitting around. Asking 130.00/ obo. Located in Gilbert/ Mesa. Have any questions just shoot me a pm. Thanks David

    Montana Canvas range tent

This is a Montana Canvas tent I bought at Cabelas a few months ago, I have used it 2 times. It has a sewn in floor, it measures 12x12 at the bottom, it has a zip out section in the floor to put your stove in. Also in the deal is a brand new Alpine Stove, it measure 14x24x11. I have never used the stove. I set it up to make sure all was there but that is all I have done, it's still in the original box. I am asking $700 obo, for it all. Thanks!

    Using a heater in tent...

I always see posts or hear of people using small Mr.Heater propane buddy heaters in their tents. I've always wanted to use one in my tent but have always heard of the carbon monoxide building up in the tent. With my wife and kids in the tent with me I never wanted to risk it. I do want them to sleep in comfort though. So is this safe to do? How many of you use buddy heaters in your tents? I have a kodiak canvas tent and wanted to know if canvas is safer than nylon, or does that not matter? Any info is appreciated!
