  1. Hi, Have a 3 year old Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 that I would like to trade for a 4.5-14X scope. It has Target Turrets and Z-plex reticle. The scope is in perfectly good condition, glass is clear. I am selling because it's too much scope for a Featherweight 308. Scope was 1200 new. I can put money toward a higher valued scope as well. To be clear, this is not the HD5 conquest - it's the version before. thx
  2. THE OUTDOORSMANS

    Outdoorsmans Chassis System

Every year something new is released in the hunting world that claims to revolutionize the way you will hunt forever. Normally these items are made for late night T.V. infomercials and will more than likely never help you fill your freezer. Although, there is a trend that is becoming popular in the tactical shooting world, which can and will give you an edge this season. Ever since hunters first went afield with muskets to hunt for that evening’s meal, their rifles were hampered by wooden stocks. Wood stocks are classic and clean in appearance but their draw backs make them a less than efficient means to an end. Wood swells and shrinks with temperature and moisture changes and is susceptible to damage from drops or mistreatment. To remedy this, hunters started to build stocks out of synthetic materials, like plastics, carbon fiber, or fiberglass. While these stocks are a great option they also have their limitations and are usually stiffened up by aluminum bedding blocks for accuracy. Tactical shooters in the last few years have come to the realization that by doing away with inferior materials they could build a rifle chassis completely out of aluminum for a much more repeatable and accurate rifle system. The drawback to these rifle chassis has always been their weight and bulk. Aluminum rifle chassis have not been built to throw in a pack and carry into the field, they have been made to carry to the range and impress your fellow shooters still shooting their stock Remington 700. That is anyway, until now. The new Outdoorsmans rifle chassis was designed by hunters for hunters and features the lightest aluminum hunting stock made today. This modular system allows you to customize your own rifle to fit your hunting style. The chassis are built for the Remington 700 style action and no fitting is required, you just bolt your existing action right into the chassis, choose what kind of AR style butt stock and grip you want and you are ready to go. The Outdoorsmans chassis was designed with a blind magazine to save weight and minimize moving parts that could fail in the field during that shot of a lifetime. It was also designed with an optional plate that allows you to mount it into an Outdoorsmans Pan Head on your tripod for a rock steady shot when the opportunity presents itself. With hunters designing this chassis system everything was thought of to make this the best rifle system for the modern hunter. So this season if you are looking for the most revolutionary product, that will give you an edge in the field and bring your rifle into the modern age, check out the Outdoorsmans rifle chassis and build your custom rifle system today! 4A Help

Just looking for a little help in 4A. Me and my dad drew the late rifle bull hunt in 4A this year. We're both pretty familiar with the area but just curious if anyone has any specifics on the locations of elk.... pines or cedars, etc? So far I've taken one scouting trip and the watering holes listed on the game and fish maps haven't panned out. Any info would be much appreciated as this is probably the last time he'll be able to go. Thanks!

    Winchester Model 70 243 wssm

This rifle has been shot by all my kids. They are grown now and I don't need it. The rifle shoots 1moa. I have some great loads worked up. I will include about 100 loaded 95 gr ballistic tips, 100 brass and the dies. This not a " long range" gun. This gun has killed 9 cow elk, 4 coues deer, 3 mule deer and a host of coyotes. It will shoot 58 gr Vmax bullets for varmints, 95 gr ballistic tips for deer and 100 gr coreloks for elk. These WSSMs are funny to load for but we have it figured out for this critter. It has been used but not abused. The scope (vortex viper 6x20) is not included unless you just cant live without out it. 450.00 for the gun and reloading goodies,we would have to talk about the whole package. Great kids or ladies gun. Light and no recoil. Btw... 350-400 yards is the limit as far I'm concerned with this gun. Thanks for looking.

    Dec. 30B Buck

Well it took me long enough to post about my success but here it goes.... Well i happened to put in for 30B December just to say I got to go on a December hunt. I've hunted the unit a few times in the past so I knew where i wanted to go for opening morning on Sunday for the first day. I didn't scout the week before and that was heavily on my mind as opening weekend came closer. I only had the weekends to hunt because i had a new job .... anyway Sunday came and we got to our spot where i wanted to start ... hoping someone might push a buck to me from the main road. Right out of the door we see 4 deer 3 does and a big rack coming up over a small hill .... blood is pumping sweet deer right out of the gate and there's a buck ... quickly identified it as a mule deer. Well at least we saw a buck....the day went on and only saw 4 coues all does. Now i'm worried i won't get a buck let alone see one .... The next weekend is here and have a positive .. i have 2 days and I scouted on google earth for more access to some more country. Saturday morning we drive in and it's cold and windy... not a good sign...forecast calls for 30mph winds. We get to the spot I thought I wanted to be at from what i scouted on google. We get out and made our way up this draw seeing little sign....it's just getting colder as we press on with this wind. We come to the top of the draw and I tell my Dad to find me a big buck while a take care of some business ... I came back up just couple minutes later as i'm about to ask him where this buck is something made noise down below us....sat and waited for a few seconds and my father says it's a buck. I throw my back pack down get my tripod up rest my gun on it and start searching for the buck.....finally see him maybe only 125 yards should be an easy shot even with this wind.... only problem is I can't keep steady. With the wind pushing on my back and buck fever... SINCE I'VE NEVER KILLED A DEER. I couldn't get steady on his shoulder.... this whole time he is looking back into thick cover he was hunkered down in to see what the noise was and walking away.... My hunting partner makes his way up to me and throws his pack down and says " here get down and use it a s a rest. I get down on my knees and located him ok now how far is he....."300 yards" My buddy Paul says.... i calm my breathing and aim just at his back.....but I leave it back a little to adjust for wind... perfect broadside shot.... BANG! ... when I can see clearly threw the scope after the shot all I could see is him Rolling toward a bush ... I jumped to my feet and sigh of relief heck YEAH i got em! ... I got right back on my gun cause I thought better make sure he's down and not wounded. We would see him trying to get up ... falls and rolls into another bush this happened couple more times....untill finally we didn't see him anymore. YES! he's down my first deer and not a bad one ... not huge but for this unit ... small population of deer not a bad looking buck sweet ! We waited for 30 minutes to walk over to kill spot.... took us another 30 just to go 200 yards threw this jungle. We get to the last spot we saw him. We see blood and quite a bit of blood ... we can see where he was dragging and rolling. The walkie talkie goes off "He should be right in front of you" my buddy calls out. My Dad and I looked and looked but no deer ... uhhh ohhh. I told Paul to come on over and help track ... while Paul was making his way threw the bottom of this jungle .. I hear rustling and then what sounded like a wheez. Sweet that must be him Paul comes over and says " just shoot him in the neck." I go up and he hears me snaps his head looks me right int he eye......longest 5 seconds of my life. He then turns and tries to run and shoot him....bang fell right over. Waited another 20 minutes to make sure. We walked up and made sure he was expired. Now the celebrating can begin ... CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST DEER my Dad and Paul where telling me AND A DANDY FOR A FIRST! It turns out i shot his spin but it wasn't fatal just made him paralyzed from that point on which makes sense since he was trying to get up and run but could only use his front legs and rolled down the hill. I had lots of fun and can't wait till next year!

I will try this again because the first time I posted without the picture. But here it is. Remington model 700 270 cal. CDL bolt action with a Leopold 3x9 rifleman scope. Gun only has 50 rounds shot through it and it's a great rifle. Asking price is 700. PM if interested.
  21. Sorry guy I posted this under the rifle section and should have posted it here. Anyways here are some pictures and a video of John Han first buck. John came to us this past year and said he wanted to learn to hunt and kill a deer. We hunted hard for a few day and came up with this up on the last day we could hunt. Cole
  22. Up for sale is a gently used Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm MC Scope. Both the objective and eyepiece lenses are in pristine condition with no marring, scratches, scrapes, etc. of any kind. The scope reticle is a medium cross hair that reduces to a fine cross hair in the center of the field (ideal for low light conditions). The matte black 1" body has no dents, dings or scratches of any kind. No visible "ghost rings" where ring mounts were placed. Both turrets track as they should and the eyepiece allows for complete focus. You can hardly tell this scope has been used. If interested please call, text or email at 602-361-7191. Asking $375. Not looking for trades at this time.

  24. Like the title says, this is a 700 BDL in .270 Winchester. Not one of my personal rifles, so I don't know the history or how it shoots. The serial number on the rifle indicates it was made back in 1973, back when all the parts were steel and quality control actually meant something. The bore looks very clean with sharp rifling. Bolt head shows little wear, so I suspect the rifle was not shot a great deal. Bolt sleeve is jeweled. This rifle was definitely used on some hunts. It has multiple scratches, gouges and dings in the wood stock. I've tried to take pictures that show the scratches. Barrel exterior still in great shape. Originally had iron sights, but they were removed. Receiver has 2-piece scope base - looks to be a Leupold, but I cannot be sure. I bought this rifle as a project gun just for the action. My buddy/gunsmith thinks it is a sin to break up an old BDL like this. So I will try and sell it first. The long action, old-style Rem trigger, BDL bottom metal with box, spring and follower alone are worth $550 to me. New BDL's go for around $750. Asking $500 firm. 602-361-7191.
