Swarovski 10x42 WB SLC for Sale

** SPF ** to Rharris on CWT. Thanks to all. The best piece of advice I ever got in hunting optics was: “You get what you pay for”. The worst piece of advice I ever got in hunting optics was: “Buy as much optic as you can afford”. I believed the first, but followed the second. The result was ownership of several different pairs of binos over the years. Taking a loss each time I upgraded, but never really knowing what I was missing out on. About eight years ago, I finally bought this pair of used Swaro 10x42 WB SLC’s . The first time I took them out scouting, I remember thinking: “man, I should have bought these years ago”. All that time and money wasted on inferior optics thinking they would get me by until I could afford something better. Do yourself a favor – buy the best. If you can’t afford it yet, then don’t compromise. Save your money until you can step up to something worth having. There are lots of good optics out there and looking through glass can be very subjective. And yet, there is a general consensus that when it comes to binos, Swarovski and Leica are at the top of the heap. The Victory line of Zeiss could also be included as well. Well, here is your chance to step up to a great piece of glass. This is a pair of Swarovski 10x42 WB SLC’s. I have used these for the past eight years. About four years ago, they were completely reconditioned by Swarovski. You get everything you see in the pictures: The binos, orig. shoulder carry strap, the orig. case, Swaro literature and pin, and the box. The binos are in excellent shape, with the exception of one small (about 3% of area) rub mark on the finish of the objective lens in the right barrel. I didn’t even notice it until I started to clean them up. You can’t detect it when looking through the binos, but I felt it was worth mentioning. I tried to show this in one of the pictures. Body is in excellent shape with no rips, tears, etc. in armor. I will also throw in my Butler Creek bino harness as well. Binos are priced at $850. Reason for selling: Bought a pair of 10x42 EL Swarovision last week. If interested, call or text:602-361-7191.
  21. This story starts last fall when I made the decision that I was going to buy the new Swarovski 15x56 SLC HD binoculars. I called Swarovski and Outdoorsmans to see how to go about getting them as early as possible. A good buddy of mine had an upcoming New Mexico Barbary Sheep hunt in February 2014 and I was hoping to have them for that hunt. I decided to pre-pay for them and the guys at Outdoorsmans told me that they thought it would be mid to late January at the earliest, even though Swaro was shooting for January 1st. Christmas passed and I was hoping Swaro would hit their mark for a late gift from Santa. The guys at Outdoorsmans kept me updated and Swaros date kept getting pushed back. Finally, 7 days before our departure, Cody from the Outdoorsmans called and said that he had talked one of the Swaro reps into sending me his pair that he takes to shows as a loaner, just for the hunt. Keep in mind, I don't know these guys, I am just another customer. I was amazed at the lengths that Cody (and Swaro) went to make me a happy customer. On to my review; There were three of us on the hunt, all using top of the line 15x56 binos. One buddy has the 15x56 Leica Geovid non HD and the other has the current 15x56 Swaro SLC non-HD. My initial observation was that the new HDs are quite a bit shorter than the current SLCs and that the ocular lenses are quite a bit bigger. When using them it was very clear that the pupilary(sp) distance had been reduced. The older SLCs are useable for me but I have them sqeezed together as far as they will go. With the HDs, there was plently of room to adjust them closer together. I also noted that the HD focus wheel was easier to adjust with gloves on. The eyecups on the HDs twist out and click into a few different positions, which I also like better. Looking through them the biggest difference is the brightness. The HD versions are noticebly brighter than their predecessor and significantly brighter than the Leicas. The difference in clarity is not as big but the HDs are definitely clearer than the non HD models. The brightness and clarity upgrades were most noticeable when glassing into the shade, during a bright sunny day. With the HDs the shady areas were much more crisp, making it alot easier to make out what it was in the shady area. I feel like Swaro upgraded every aspect of the binos that for so long have been the gold standard that all other binos are compared to. I know that I am very excited to get my permanent pair (hopefully very soon) and will never regret the purchase.
  22. I am selling two Swarovski Items: 15X56 Swarovski Binoculars ($1350.00) with Outdoorsmans stud included and installed and STS 80 HD Spotting Scope with 20X-60X eyepiece ($2250). Good condition. I live in Scottsdale am happy to meet to show the condition of these gems. Please email with questions or offers jayscottoutdoors@gmail.com . Also have lots of pics on my website, click here for link, http://www.jayscottoutdoors.blogspot.com/2014/02/for-sale-swarovski-sts-80hd-spotting.html Both items have been sent to Swarovski to be freshened up, spotting scope eyepiece rubber had a blemish and was replaced and the left objective rubber had dimple and they replaced the whole rubber outside coating on binocular and they look absolutely brand new and smell new! I want a CWT member to have these pieces. I have seen some pretty good trophies through both of these babies!

    Swarovski SLC 15x56

I have a buddy selling a pair of Swarovski SLC 15x56. They were serviced by Swarovski in Rhode Island last year and has all new armoring and a complete cleaning. Nothing is wrong with them absolutely flawless. Warranty card in hand as well. They are however considered Great Market. He is in the Navy and purchased them in France in 2000. They do not fall under the USA warranty but do have a European warranty. He ordered the new SLC 15x56 HD's and that is the only reason he is getting rid of these. S/N is D702962006! He wants $1350 or best offer His email is Viperfp@hotmail.com Please contact him directly about questions or offers!
