  1. With Amanda's consent, we're trying something new -- an organized auction with a set format/rules and a time limit. As we go along I'll be adding photos and other tidbits of information every day or so. Feel free to ask questions pertaining to information about this auction. If anyone wishes to discuss something else, please start your own thread. Now let's get started with the nitty -gritty! Up for bidding is the timeshare week that I own at the 5-star Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort in Mazatlan, Mex. It's considered as the top resort in the city. Your stay will include seven nights in a luxurous 970-sq. ft. one bedroom, two bath master suite that can sleep up to six people -- four in the bedroom and two on a sofa/bed in the living area. Amenities include two flat-screen TVs and kitchen facilties with lots of cabinets, a full-size fridge, cook-top electric stove, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and enough pots, dishes and utencils to cook for and feed six people. They also supply the paper towels and coffee filters. The bedrooms come with either two doubles or one king-size bed -- your choice. There are four restaurants and three pools on the property. Kelly's bar is somewhat unusual for Mexico with its display of African game mounts. One of the restaurants. This is the adult-only pool and spa with a swim-up bar. Two larger ones are down at the lower level. The going discounted rate right now booked directly through the resort is $200 per night. Booked through any of the online booking agents, it's about $240 per night. Depending on availability, it can be used any week from now until Dec. 31, 2019. Thus, the winner should plan on being a bit flexible with at least two or three choices. Generally, anything from mid-Sept to mid-Nov is rarely a problem. Also, you must have a passport or passport card to return to the U.S, PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T PLAN TO FOLLOW UP ON YOUR COMMITMENT! Here are the rules: 1. All bids must be in $50 increments. 2. The auction will end at 6 p.m. on Sat., June 22. The closest time stamp before 6 p.m. on a reply/bid in this thread will win the auction. Please just include your bid in a reply so I don't have to wade through other text to find it. 3. The winning bidder will pay a $200 holding fee through PayPal within 48 hrs. of the auction close. The fee will be refunded ONLY if the desired dates can't be reserved. 4. The balance will be due and payable through PayPal as soon as I get the email confirmation form from the resort in the bidder's name. The winner will then receive the confirmation, which is needed to get past the gate guard and for check-in. 5. If the winning bidder fails to pay the holding fee on time, the next highest bidder will be the winner. The opening reserve is $500. The first bid must be $550. BID EARLY & OFTEN!
