Then why is price gouging illegal?

And explain this one to me... why did stores start limiting toilet paper, baby wipes and hand sanitizer to two per customer? What do they care who buys what and how many?

Bump stocks and high cap mags (some states) are illegal too.  So was soda in NYC. What does that matter whether I believe something is right or wrong?

Stores are free to do what they want. They should limit sales if they want other customers to get a chance at items.  If I owned a store, I would do the same thing.  But to call people who buy more than they need (which is subjective btw) a POS is over the top.

Just my opinion.

You just made my point. They can't pay higher prices for trucks if no one has them. And when someone does have a truck to sell, that seller get to dictate how much it will sell for. This guy is doing just that with the gas he ALREADY has in his underground tanks - that same gas that people can't buy elsewhere & wouldl like to have in their car's gas tank.

And you made my point lol. The reason this guy HAS gas to sell is because he ISNT selling any of it due to his high prices.  The other gas stations sold out of all their gas and made profits. The guy with high prices is sitting on tanks of unsold gasoline.  The more time goes on where he is not selling gas, his price will drop.

Sorry, but I can't understand the logic is this last reply.  If the other stations are sold out, where is everyone going to buy their gas & what will they pay for it???

Ans: From the guy who conserved his supply and is the only one that has gas for sale at the price HE dictates. As a result he makes an outlandish profit on every gallon he sells until he too runs out.

Just my opinion. I’ll leave it at that and go back to looking for a Leupold VX5HD in stock somewhere in the country!  Can’t find one because supply is low due to high demand!  😀

Someone who is profiting off the misfortune of others during a crisis is a POS.

It cracks me up that you keep going back to trucks and ammo. There's a HUGE difference between price gouging fuel during a fuel crisis and charging fair market value for a truck. There aren't states declaring a state of emergency because guys can't afford used F-250's

Oh wait.. maybe I should run to the classified forum and post this where you MIGHT see it... lol. That was chicken sh!t man.

I'm thinking they're Trumpers and need all that gas to get away from the liberal nut jobs.

Its always interesting to see where everyone draws the line on capitalism.   Telling someone what he or she should charge for their products or service is just one step closer to socialism.

Everyone is ok with staying home for months because of a virus with a less than 1% death rate, but staying home for 4 days because of a fuel shortage is the end of the world.  Smfh

They did it to be nice and to quit hearings from a bunch of susans complaining about it. There was NO LAW THAT SAID THEY HAD TOO.

dude life would have sucked for you if your kid was born 30-50 years earlier, but it didnt for people back then when they didnt have baby wipes or hand sanitizer. Who the f uses hand sanitizer other than women and girly men

I NEVER SAID THERE WAS A LAW THAT THEY HAD TO!!!! THE POINT I WAS MAKING WAS ABOUT PEOPLE PROFITEERING DURING A CRISIS!!! APPARENTLY RETAILERS SAW IT THAT WAY TOO.

WHY ARE WE YELLING?

Delw, I'm not going to bother with details but we had a very trying experience. I shouldn't have to explain that situation in detail so I can live up to your expectations. Now... if you'll excuse me, I have to go hike a mile up hill both ways in the snow to get to my socialism class at school.

😉😉😉

I've had some in the drivers pocket in my truck for 15 years. Comes in handy after cleaning squirrels in the middle of nowhere. $6.99 a gallon? heck, why not an even $20? Seems appropriate when Core-Lokt's are going for $40 and primers are $125.

I dont need or want the details, there are many people who had "A very Trying experience" for every person who thinks they had a "Trying experience", theres 1 or 2 with worse experience's.  so you aint nothing special get over yourself.
