Northern lakes fishing— caught a beast

Awesome fish!!  A 30” walleye is gonna run between 8.5-11# depending on how fat it is.  That one is probably 9-10 I’d say. Still a giant for a little lake like that!  Very cool!

Great fish. I have only seen one other that was that size and it was pulled out of Saguaro by  kid who was about 9 years old.

Fished willow springs. 30ish fish today. Mostly trout. Biggest 14”.

I would definately say we could have been really close to the 31” mark if measure correctly.

No secrets.  I dont know the lake at all.  Just graphed up some fish 10-20 ft and used night crawler on drop shot.  That worked for us.  Tried rooster-tails at first for an hour and nada.
