San Carlos OPENs today

Small Game is open on San Carlos today through Feb 6, 2022. Quail outlook is good even with the large fires over the summer. Road conditions are very poor after the heavy rains and I would definitely recommend high clearance and an extra spare tire for those traveling further away from the main roads. Temps have been cooling down nicely but I would still be prepared to cross a snake or two while out and about.

Dove is also open through the end of the year for those who aren't aware.

Permits are available at the far east Circle K in Globe, Apache Gold Chevron in Cutter, and the Department office in Peridot.

Regarding Covid19 on the Rez, face masks are required before entering any business or store but that's about it, no longer required to show proof of vaccination.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dan!    I've had my eye on the general AZ quail opener, and completely forgot about the rez!  Just might have to take a day-trip this weekend!!
