Truck Paint Coating to Help Prevent AZ Pinstripe

Recommended Posts

I just got a newer truck that has paint in good shape. What are you using on your truck to help minimize the effects of AZ Pinstripe? I don't want to spend a ton of money on a ceramic, but does wax or things like that help give it some buffer to help minimize scratches?

Harley your best bet is to get it ceramic coated but that still won't keep it from getting scratched. Mesquite branches are the worst. A good wax will help a bit. I usually get my truck detailed every 5 years or so but at 22 years old and 313K miles it has seen it's fair show of offroad.

First scratch is the only one that hurts. I made it about a year on my new truck before I pin stripped it. Wax it and a good detail will go a long ways.

What color?

Wax it right before your trip for the best protection will help some. I finally gave up on mine.

Haha!! Ran into a guy years ago in 28. He had his kids walking in front of him clipping branches.

A battery operated sawzall works wonders.
