Where's the best hand tossed pizza in Arizona?

Recommended Posts

I sure miss a good slice.

Hand tossed, NY style, crispy (yet pliable) crust, with flavorful tomato sauce and high quality mozzarella cheese.

I like my pizza like Portnoy likes his pizza.

*Bonus for pizza joints that use Grande cheese.

.

Ever have a slice at Upper Crust in Tucson?  Then you feel me.

Post up what you've got, I will probably try them all.

Clockwork Pizza in Tempe is about as good as it gets for a straight Pepperoni pizza. It checks all your boxes and I will add one, the crust tastes like good Italian bread.

Never heard of them until now.

Chef, Glad you are doing well my friend.

Couple of spots I go to in Phoenix/Scottsdale are 1. Pizzeria Bianco, Lamp Pizza, and Grimaldi's. All Brick Oven Pizza

I hope you are getting some use out of those shooting bags.

Good Luck this season....

Pizza on a brick is key, conveyor never will be as good.  fast yes, but I like Biancos, Florencia Pizza Bistro in Ahwahtukee, Grimaldis, Vero/Buddys (butter crust thick).  Like mine cooked a tad crispy too.  Old school cheese or pepperoni, but a nice sausage, onion and garlic hits the spot.

i think best pizza in phoenix is Cibo, second fabio on fire in peoria, and grimaldi is great for NY style pizza.

DeFalco's in Scottsdale. Toci Pizza of Brooklyn on 51st and Peoria. Both places have cannoli and anchovie's.

Pizzeria Bianco downtown Phoenix back in the day was a legit favorite.

Date nights were fantastic there and the pizza was always world class.

I've been back and it was hit or miss on the consistency. (it happens)

I'll have to go back and give them a shot.

*One thing to note, the Tucson location (now closed) didn't compare.

.

Grimaldi's was a go to for me also.  The pizza was never as good as my first few visits.

So much that I stopped going there.  It was a real bummer too.

.

The shooting bags are always with me in the hills!

Best of luck to you as well.
