Yellow tail

Recommended Posts

Put a dent in the fish pile this week. Amazing to say the least. Also had some leftover fish last night but no pics, fish tacos.

Old school fish and chips and nigiri / sashimi

We just ran out ourselves. Definitely one of my kids' favorites. I told my wife we need to book a trip to restock.

I feel yellowtail is better raw than cooked.

But its 10,000x better than farm raised talapia or salmon  no matter how you eat it.

Grouper is better

So is ahi tuna

and AK halibut

I spent a week in Winter Harbor Maine with my siblings two weeks ago. I ate fresh lobster from the CO-OP three nights. I also broiled a slab of Halibut that took up a cookie sheet one night.

I like red snapper and gold spot better than the grouper, which I love. And yellowtail.   Throw in a mako filet …. I guess I just like fish.   The OP is much more creative and  dedicated to the presentation than I am. I felt good about perfecting air fried fillets …..what is nigiri? Raw fish still?

Fresh yellowtail is hard to beat, but another thing I love is fresh ahi poki…the ocean has many great tasting fish and now I’m wishing I was out doing some deep sea fishing…
