All I need is a dumb, deaf, and blind one to stand in front of my arrow!

Maybe you will get lucky and he will run into it. 😂

I've looked at quite a few and I would say they are slightly below average this year; definitely better than last year, however.  Bodies are healthy as they can be right now but I think that significant dry spell from January through May left them down a bit this year.   Should be a great rut this year with how healthy they are looking.

Ha…..below?  Tell that to the 427” 6x6 taken on the Rez.  I think in the eastern portion of the state antler development has been average to above average from what I’ve seen.

You know better than me BOHNTR; I’ll never argue with you.  I hope you’re right.

Any pics of the 427”?  I hadn’t heard of it

Also, what is the preferred coffee of the homeowner? And, will they hold my cup while I draw my bow?

I'll go tie one up for you...

I don’t have Instagram but I was sent this photo telling me I’ll be measuring one in 60 days….ha.  I guess so.  That’s a big bull for a straight 6x6.

Based on the acorn crop I would say it should be above average. That and the giant MD an archer arrowed.

My buddy sent me this pic from a spot I found 2 years ago on the 6a muzzy hunt. Its probably the 6x6 I didn't get a shot at .I just got a look the last day of the hunt. Its hard to tell but I wouldn't pass him up this year.It also caught several other species crossing thru this pinch point and its real close to where we set elk camp.

From what I can tell, things seem to be better than last year. And the elk bodies do seem bigger and overall healthier. Looking forward to a great season of hunting ahead!
