Dove bbq

Recommended Posts

Had a great season. Went out 3 times. Birds flew good but not as great as last year. Had a bbq with all the buddies.

soaked birds in buttermilk over night, rinsed, added salt, pepper, garlic. Put a piece of green chile and bacon.  Put on traeger at 300 for about hr.  Came out great.

If you want to go for broke add a little cream cheese spread to the bacon before you wrap and chunk of jalepeno as well as the bacon and green chili.  Good stuff!

And then baste it.

Sweet Baby Ray's with Honey works, baste after a few minutes and then again a few minutes before you think they are done.

not us.. we fillet the breast first and just wrap and eat like poppers once you get the bacon crisp.  Put a little season all is about it.  But if you like bbq go for it!
