Totally agree with this sentiment! For a long time now, my thoughts on bonus points in general, is that the overall bonus point pool must be SO large that the value of any single additional point is very watered down. Every time someone doesn't get drawn for a species; they get a point. Yay, so does, so does EVERY other person who didn't get drawn. Unless someone is in the group of folks with close to max points for a given species, it seems likely the value of any given additional point is quite low.
