Is the field day at the SCI headquarters (my daughters was there a few months ago)? If so, check out the International Wildlife Museum while you are there. The Sonoran Desert Museum is awesome. Pick up some Eegees for lunch or some El Guero Canelo if you like Sonoran dogs.

You could take him dove hunting around Marana (check your Onx) and have Lil’ Abners or take him quail hunting north of Oracle Jct, hit the street tacos in Oro valley. Not sure which side of town your staying on, but a day out of the city on the desert would be more fun I would think. Seems to be a better fit for a day with Dad.

Lil' Abners is way overated for their prices. El Corral for prime rib is a much better deal for the money.

Is it too late?  Taqueria Juanitos is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Tucson!

Not to late yet, but the kid came home from school today sick so the trip is now in jeopardy of not happening if he can't get well in the next day or so.
