I own property in Bear Flats. The creek crossings become unpassable for short periods of storm runoff, BUT, no stuctures are anywhere near being flooded. Whoever reported that is nuts.

Well I shouldn't have back down on the danger of the flooding. Need everyone to say a prayer for the Sutton's , thier residence of Bear flats, there truck got washed away while crossing the tonto . The truck has been found but Phon and his wife are missing. Searching now. Hoping for the best. Please don't fxxk around with these washes and rivers. Godspeed

Sorry I misinterpreted your original comment as pertaining to property, not the creek at high water.

OMG, if anyone knows the danger of trying to cross the Tonto at high water, it's the Suttons! Praying for Phon and Dara.

That's pretty gnarly.   For anyone who has never been there, the magnitude can be hard to gage.  If there was a person down there, they would be a small speck. (Those cottonwood trees help with scale...)

Been a challenge for the last week. Cancellations, bridge out, campgrounds flooded, evaculations etc. Tough on tourists from out of stat and out of country who had reservations.

67,800CFS through Camp Verde and still rising.

Now 79,000 20 minutes later.

That is an incredible amount of water.
