Interested in Budget 20/28 guage

Looking at getting back into quail hunting. I'd like to find a decent, but budget friendly 20 or 28 Guage. O/U SxS preferred, but a light weight(ish) semi would work well.

Prefer removeable chokes, as my son will likely use this on ducks as well.

I've got a Franchi 48AL in 20 gauge for sale. Haven't listed it on this forum yet but I'm getting rid of it because I prefer to wingshoot left-handed and a semi doesn't work well, throwing spent shells in my face. 

 

Weighs 5.6 lbs empty, about 6 loaded. Very light and fast aiming.

The Franchi is great also. I had one in 28g for a few years and sold it to a fellow CWT member only because it was tearing up my thumb pushing in the shells.

It would be for us both. He's not small, almost 5' but a little thin. He'd use it in optimal puddle jumping scenarios.

Height wise, maybe, but he still needs to develop some upper body strength, so it might be perfect for him to hold up. I bought him a bolt .410 for Christmas and he struggles with that after a shot or two.

I'd go 20 ga semi-auto for him.  Less recoil with the semi vs pump or O/U

Easy fix on the recoil pad. Limbsaver slip-on works great or have it cut and a new one installed.
