There are days when I add/subtract an item or two... depending on weather, if I am hunting or hunting for someone, etc.... but this is my basic everyday pack.

 

Oh and, extra Shells in my pocket, if I am hunting.

 

 

 

I have carried more but it is nice to have less when you expand that pack and fill it with meat and cape and horns!

The last few years my brother turned me on to the use of glow sticks. They are amazing. Great for tracking an animal. Once you have tried them you will wonder how you ever done without them. Ever want to go back to last blood and wonder where the spot was? Never again with these babies. Once you find your animal you back track thru the woods and take them down as you go. They look so neat thru the woods at night and never get lost. Most will stay lit for 24hrs.

It's always good to have a couple water purification tablets in your daypack because you never know what could happen and you need water.

Lots of good items. I also like to keep those breath mints that have caffine in them just in case.
