***SNAKES STILL VERY MUCH OUT

Had to go to Vegas over weekend and on return trip pulled off road west of Wickenburg and heard a noise im more than familiar with when i opened door.. about a 4 foot Green Mojave Rattler was by the creosote i intended on watering so i left that 1 for him... Quail hunters beware!!! stay safe and happy hunting!

Shot one with bb gun in my back yard. I missed the first shot and then it actually came towards me, aggresive. Second shot silenced it.

western shovel nose.

I had no idea there were so many "mildly venomous" snakes in az. besides rattlers and corral snakes which are very venomous.

when I was a kid I would pick up all kinds as long as it wasn't a rattler or red on yellow!

this website shows pictures of a wide variety of snakes in AZ.

not sure about the info given on here whether it's been verified but cool pics.

I did find a rattler trying to crawl under another hunters truck today and a ring necked snake that spit up half of a baby gopher snake when I picked it up to take pictures.

Spent the morning in the rain, then a cold wind. I was chilled all day. Then on the way out I found a Mohave. Hopefully this next cold snap will chase them into their dens.
